Internetzugang Suse 11.1 Alice

hallo,

irgendwie bekomme ich die Netzwerkkonfiguration nicht hin. Und da ich es das erste Mal mache, bitte ich Euch um Hilfe.

Ich versuche mich mit Alice über mein DSL-Modem Speed touch thompson 350 i zu verbinden. Unter Windows klappt es....

Ich verstehe nicht, warum meine Netzwerkkarte keine IP-Adresse bekommt.

Als Oberfläche benutze ich gnome. Muss ich dort noch etwas aktivieren, damit ich ins Internet komme?

Die Ausgabe des Windowsbefehl hilft da nicht wirklich. ;) :)

Hast du unter Linux deiner Netzwerkkarte eine feste IP zugewiesen? Mit DHCP klappt das bei einem Modem nämlich nicht.

Wollte nur mal anmerken, dass ich das gleiche Problem, allerdings anderes Modem (Sphairon Turbolink IAD) habe. Habe eine Verbindung zum Netzwerk, aber bekomme auch die DSL Verbindung zu Alice nicht gebacken.

Also mir hat das hier sehr geholfen, als ich letztens bei meiner Tochter das Internet (Alice-DSL) eingerichtet habe. Das Modem hatte allerdings einen DHCP. Allerdings weiß ich nicht mehr, was das für ein Modem war.

hallo ich habe mir aus ner Computerzeitung Suse linux 11.1 instaliert und wolte den internet zugang einrichten
aber ich habe gleich gemerkt das ich da nicht weiter komme ich habe ein alice internet zugang und weis das ich
die PPPoE einstellung vornehmen muß das wars dann aber auch schon bin nähmlich ein neuling unter Linux ich hoffe es kann mir einer weiterhelfen.
PS meine Hardware daten sind wie folgt.

Gigabyte M61PME-s2 Mainboard
AMD Adhlon 64 AM2 2,6 Ghz Dual Core
360 GB SATA HDD(davon nutze ich 100GB für Windows "mit den ich jetzt gerade auch im internet bin")
eine 3Com 3C905TX Ethernet Karte
2GB Ram PC800 DDR2

bitte helft mir

Du kannst das Modem per Yast->Netzwerkgeräte->DSL konfigurieren. Eine Anleitung finedst du unter dem Link den ich und Freddie gepostet haben.

ich habe es unter Suse 11.1 mit Alice nicht hinbekommen. Nun habe ich ubuntu installiert und damit klappt es nun. Somit bin ich zwar kein Suse-Nutzer mehr, aber bei Linux bleibe ich nun definitiv :/

Ein Fritzbox ist eine Fritzbox.
Und wenn in der die richtigen Daten hinterlegt sind sollte es funktionieren.

Wenn alles immer spezieller wird, wer soll da noch durchblicken und wer wird die entsprechenden Programme und Skrips erstellen?

Spezieller wird es nicht, da für die Einwahl die selben Standards verwendet werden (z.B. PPPoE etc.)

Hi,

falls es was hilft und hier noch mitgelesen wird. Also ich bin auch Alice User der sich mit ner Netzwerkkarte und nen Siemens Modem einwählt. Ich habe zuerst Suse Linux 10.3 verwendet damit hat es aufs erste mal geklappt. Dann habe ich dies deinstalliert und Suse Linux 11.1 drauf gemacht hat alles wieder wunderbar funtioniert. Eben mit 1. Netztwerkkarte konfigurieren 2. mit DSL konfigurieren.
Ich habe das gleiche dann nochmals auf meinem aktuellen P4 2.4 GHZ Rechner mit besserem Board besserer Festplatte gemacht auch bestens geklappt. Auch unter Paralellinstallation zu Windows. Ok allerdings habe ich jetzt nachdem ich erneut deinstalliert habe keine Internetverbindung mehr. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Obwohl ich alles richtig gemacht habe.

Ach ja nochwas Ubuntu habe ich auch mal 8.1 mit Gnome von Life DVD getestet leider ohne Erfogl die Internetverbindung herzustellen. Habe es genau so gemacht wie es in den Tipps steht. Bei Wiki.
