Bin am Verzweifeln:
Nach Update von Suse 11.2 auf 12.2 kein Internet mehr.
Gleiches unter Suse 11.4 sowie Knoppix 7.
Erneute Installation von Suse 11.2 sowie Live-System Knoppix 6 funktionieren einwandfrei.
Dann Suse 12.2 komplett neu installiert: Internet-Verbindung weder mit NetworkManager noch mit yast/ifup möglich, alle möglichen Variationen durchgespielt, manchmal wird IP-Adresse bezogen, aber auch dann kein Internet. Tethering per Smartphone/wlan funktioniert kurzzeitig, dann aber auch nicht mehr.

Danke für den "Hinweis": Der war aber schon befolgt worden bevor er gegeben wurde ;)
Hier führen die unter dem Link für die jeweiligen Fehlermeldungen gemachte Lösungsvorschläge allesamt leider nicht zum Erfolg!

Dem Rechner ist es, ebenso wie dem anderen, ebenfalls unter Suse 12.2, aber problemlos im gleichen LAN laufenden, schlicht gleich , ob eine Netzwerkkarte unter yast konfiguriert ist, oder nicht, während der NM zur Anwendung kommt.

Hier mag das wohl anders aussehen, ist aber nicht das Ergebnis der gelöschten Konfiguration, sondern 12stündiger vergeblicher Anmelde-Versuche am Router, die zuvor alle mit "Authentisierung fehlgeschlagen" gescheitert waren:

Sowohl DHCP als auch statische Konfiguration führen immer wieder zu dem Ergebnis:
Entweder keine IP-Adresse, und wenn doch, kein ping nach draußen.

überdies laufen in exakt derselben Hardware-Konfiguration sowohl wlan-Anbindung wie auch Internetverbindug
ohne jedes Problem unter Suse 11.2 wie unter Knoppix 6, nicht jedoch unter Suse 11.4 und Knoppix 7 !?

Und wie gesagt funktioniert das ganze auch bei einem weiteren, allerdings wesentlich jüngeren, Suse-12.2-Rechner sowohl mit ifup als auch mit NM im selben wlan reibungslos.

Konflikt zwischen neuerem Kernel und älterer Hardware? Kann ja wohl nicht sein, oder!?

Probiers doch mal systematisch: als erstes liest Du Dir mal durch, was im Ergebnistext steht. Ich lese dort:
There might be a problem with the default gateway definition 192.168.2.1 on interface wlan0Kanst Du den Router anpingen?

Wenn ja, dann hast Du eine funktionierende Verbindung und musst weder Yast noch den Networkmanager weiter quälen. Und wenn Du eine Verbindung zum Router hast, dann probier doch mal eine Ip-Adresse anzupingen, z.B.:

ping 212.6.108.140
Das ist die Adresse vom Nameserver meines Providers, Du kannst dort die IP von Deinem Provider eintragen, es sollte aber auch so gehen. Sollte dieser Ping funktionieren, dann hast Du ein "Nameserver-Problem" ...

Außerdem lese ich:
--- If you are unsuccessful then place the contents of file in the net
--- (see http://www.linux-tips-and-tricks.de/CND_UPL for links)
--- and then paste the nopaste link on your favorite Linux forum.
