Grafischer Login funktioniert nicht mehr

Hallo zusammen,

ich kann mich mit meinem Benutzer nicht mehr über kdm einloggen. Mit root oder einem anderen Benutzer ist es kein Problem.

Sobald ich mich versuche einzuloggen, kommt anstatt des Splash-Screens nur der Hintergrund, der beim Laden erscheint, dann ändert sich der Mauszeiger auf mein Theme und dann hängt das System und nur "strg+alt+backspace" hilft.
Aufgetreten ist es, nachdem mir KDE abgestürzt ist, als es kein Programm mehr ordnungsgemäß gestartet hat.
Das Problem tritt mit allen WM auf.

Ich würde gern meinen Account retten und nicht einen neuen anlegen und alles kopieren.

Das hab ich schon versucht, hat aber nichts geholfen.
Auch müsste es ja dann bei Gnome oder e17 gehen, aber die starten ebenfalls nicht.

Wenn du das "alte" $HOME des Users umbenennst .. kann er sich dann wieder, mit "frischem" HOME-Verzeichnis, anmelden ?

EDIT: btw. schau auch in /tmp, ob durch den KDE-Absturz da noch "Leichen" liegen, die du dem entsprechenden User zuordnen kannst.

Dateien in /tmp entfernen hat nicht geholfen

Umbennen des $HOME des Benutzers hat geholfen. Zumindest kann ich mich nun mit dem Account wieder anmelden.

Jetzt heist es wohl durchprobieren, welche Einstellungen ich übernehmen kann und an welchen es lag, dass nichts mehr geht.

Interessant wärs nämlich schon noch, an was es dann wirklich lag.

Schau, ob in dem "alten" Home eine .DOCPserver....
oder so ähnlich liegt.
Wenn ja, diese mal löschen und Anmeldung testen.

Ich hab es nun mal so gemacht. Kurz darauf ist mir aber wieder alles abgestürzt und ich hatte das selbe Problem nochmal.

Jetzt hab ich weniger configs umkopiert, und teste, ob es nun absturzfrei läuft.

Hatte ein ähnliches Problem. Allerdings konnte ich als root auch keinen XServer starten. Die Fehlermeldungen waren jedoch wie oben. Nicht einmal sax2 ließ sich starten.

Ich habe nun das Problem gefunden:
es ist die neue Version des Packages fontconfig (2.3.20051026-0.1), die apt bei mir installierte. Nach dem downgrade auf 2.3.20050721-10 ging wieder alles.
