Netgear WG 511

Guten Tag
nachdem ich Problemlos unter Suse 9.1.pro meine Netgear W-Lan Karte in's Netz bringen kann, scheint es unter Suse 9.3. nicht so einfach zu sein, d.h. auf meinem zweiten Laptop ebenfalls mit einer W-Lan Karte von Netgear (WG 511 made in China falls wichtig) geht nichts.
die Karte kann ich konfigurieren und alle relevanten Daten eintragen, allerdings so scheint es, funkt sie erst gar nicht, unter Yast wird sie als
"Netgear WG511 Wireless Adapter" richtig erkannt, unter kwifi verwaltung ist auch alles tot.
iwconfig gibt folgendes aus:

P.S.die Karte lief unter Windows problemlos, sollte also nicht defekt sein

vielleicht kann ich dir helfen..

da iwconfig sagt NOT READY,,hast du es schonmal versucht das device mit ifconfig zu starten?

was sagt dmesg? wurde die firmware richtig geladen?

du benötigst die firmware von der prism seite,,dort gibts arm dateien zum download,die musst du umbenennen nach is3890 und nach /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware kopieren.

Welche Version der Karte ist das? Ich weiss das alles über v2 nicht mehr linux kompatibel ist...laufen darüber also nur mit wrapper.

danke für deine Antwort, also von V" habe ich auf der Karte nichts lesen können, habe den prism 54 1.1 da, aber nicht installiert, (auch nicht auf meiner 9.1. Maschine, da läuft die Karte problemlos nach der Installation mit onlineupdate) aus diesem grunde bin ich davon ausgegangen, das es unter 9.3. erst recht geht, leider nicht.

Was hat es denn mit dieser Fehlermeldung auf sich?

eth1: no 'reset complete' IRQ seen - retrying (siehe Thread oben)

komme nicht weiter, denn wenn ich das richtig sehe, ist ja doch der richtige Treiber geladen

ist eine Netgear 511 F v3.0 made in China

wie bekomme ich das Dingens zum Laufen
Auf meinem Suse 9.1 Pc läuft eine Netgear WG 511 F- v2.0 made in Taiwan, und diese funktionierte auf anhieb.

Wie du siehst mault dmesg (IRQ faulty)

Erstmal vorweg,,alles was bei der wg511 über V2 hinaus geht wird nicht nativ von linux unterstützt.
die prism treiber solltest du dir dringend installen aber wichtiger ist das du die richtige firmware benutzt.
diese findest du hier:
http://prism54.org/~mcgrof/firmware/1.0.4.3.arm

Diese Datei benennst du nach isl3890 um und kopierst sie nach /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware

danach sollte die karte laufen,,vorrausgesetzt es ist ne v2

Also es ist definitiv eine V3, soweit ich das sehe, ist doch der prism Treiber bereits installiert, wollte mal in's Bios schaun ,von wegen dem IRQ Fehler, nur gibt es leider im Bios keine Funktion, in der ich die IRQ
Einstellungen einsehen kann.
Gibt es da irgendeine Möglichkeit unter Suse diese einzusehen (ändern)?
Freunde mich gerade damit an, das Teil wieder an's Kabel zu hängen :cry:

sagt doch schon alles..Es ist kein IRQ Problem sondern die Karte ist einfach nicht ansprechbar nachdem die firmware geladen wurde,,

WG511 v3 funktioniert nicht, zwar Prism Chipset, aber mit "Softmac" und das kann der prism54.org Treiber nicht (Stand 2/2005)

v2(Prism Chipset) und v3 sind äußerlich unterscheidbar, siehe [WWW] http://www. martins-kabuff.de/wg511.html

schau mal hier,,ist beschrieben wie du sie mit dem wrapper zum laufen bekommst.
