Kein Systemsound mit KDE 3.5

Hallo Leutz,

ich muss euch mal bemühen. Heut' morgen hab' ich auf KDE 3.5 RC 1 geaptet - lief alles glatt und das neue KDE funzt flott, knackig und stabil. Leider gibt es eine Winzigkeit, die die Freude etwas trübt: der Systemsound läuft nicht. Bei Start des Systems werde ich - wie gewohnt - mit dem KDE-Startsound begrüßt, auch das Öffnen erster Fenster wird von den geliebten Piepsern begleit. Nach etwa 2 bis 3 Minuten popt dann regelmäßig der KDE-Crashmanager auf: "Das Programm KNotify (knotify) ist abgestürzt und hat das Signal 11 (SIGSEGV) veranlasst. ... Ein Programm erhält das Signal SIGSEGV zumeist wegen eines Programmierfehlers. Die Anwendung wurde angewiesen, die Dokumente zu speichern." Die dabei vom Crashmanager ausgegebenen Fehlermeldungen sehen dann so (oder ganz ähnlich) aus:

Starte ich danach Knotify von einer Konsole mit

beginnt das Spielchen von vorn: der Systemsound läuft wieder so etwa 2 Minuten, dann kommt wieder der Crashmanager. Auf der Konsole sieht das Ganze so aus:

Ich hatte das Problem eben auch einmal, aber erst nach ca. 40 Stunden Laufzeit. Wollmer mal sehen, ob sich da irgendwie ein Zusammenhang herleiten lässt.

Hast Du schon mal auf der KDE-Seite nach den bis zur offiziellen 3.5-Release noch in Arbeit befindlichen Punkten geschaut, vielleicht ist dort ja was dabei...

So, nachdem ich jetzt KDE 3.5.0 Level a am Rennen habe, tritt bei mir ebenfalls ein Problem mit artsd/knotify auf, welches dem Problem des OP deutlich ähnelt. Bei mir ist es aber der artsd, der crashed oder vielleicht auch gar nicht erst startet. Das äussert sich in der Form, dass manche Systemsounds nicht wiedergegeben werden, andere dagegen lassen sich abspielen. In der Datei .xsession-errors tauchen bei vergeblichen Abspielversuchen Zeilen dieser Art auf:

Wenn ich im Kontrollzentrum unter Soundsystem auf den Knopf "Testen" drücke, bekomme ich den Crashmanager präsentiert, der mich aufklärt, dass artsd abgestürzt wäre. :>

Irgendwas ist da noch nicht ganz rund, aber das werden die findigen KDE-Programmierer sicher noch hinbekommen - schon allein, weil es mit RC1 noch richtig funktioniert hat. Ich bin guter Dinge... :)

Mit dem heutigen Update hat sich das Problem (vorerst) erledigt. Mal sehen, wann und ob es wieder auftritt. :>

DemoFreaK: was genau hast du geupdated? Bin nämlich von selbem Problem betroffen.

hatte auch das Problem nach dem Update auf 3.5 aber seit heut morgen nach neuem update per Smart ist alles ok.

@kleinstud,

musst auf die neueste Version von KDE 3.5 updaten. Bei mir laufen die Systemsounds jedenfalls wieder, nachdem ich gestern abend per apt vom RC 1 auf die KDE 3.5 level a final geupdatet habe. Die Sache hing hier eindeutig mit KNotify zusammen und ich nehme an, dass der RC 1 dort noch einen Bug drin hatte.

seit dem update vom 3.4.0 auf das neue 3.5.0 level a besteht das problem mit dem artsd-crash und den infolge fehlenden system-klängen.

kde 3.5 ist ja noch nicht offiziell released worden. Also fleißig bug-reports einschicken, dann wird das schon. Nur ohne feedback auch keine Änderungen. So einfach ist das...
