Unbekannt Hardeware identifizieren "GELÖST"

Hallo Tuxer,

da ich aus der Windows Schiene kommen und mir Suse 11 installiert habe.

Möchte ich nun wissen, was unter Suse ein vergleichbarer Gerätemanager für Linux ist.
Bzw. Welche Geräte installiert sind und welche noch zu installieren sind (im Gerätemanager mit gelben Ausrufezeichen markiert)

Am liebsten wären mir konsolen befehle. da ich kein Gui freund bin.

Hi

Hardware kannst du via Yast einrichten.
Da gibt es auch den Punkt Hardwareinformationen.

Welchen WM verwendest du denn KDE 3.x oder was anderes?
Da gibt es auch einen Punkt Hardware.

Wenn du in der Konsole bist kannst du als root den Befehl

Aber woran erkenne ich welche Hardware im Systemverbaut ist, aber noch nicht funktioniert da der Treiber fehlt?

Aber woran erkenne ich welche Hardware im Systemverbaut ist, aber noch nicht funktioniert da der Treiber fehlt?
Daran, dass sie nicht funktioniert? 'Gelbe Ausrufezeichen' gibt es jedenfalls keine.
Das meiste wird ohnehin erkannt. Und was nicht funktioniert merkt man ja wohl irgendwann.
 
Versteht mich nicht falsch. Ich möchte Linux administrieren können. Es geht hier nicht um den einen PC (post von hwinfo), sondern um zukünftige Geräte.
Ich finde es wichtig zu wissen ob die Hardware richtig installiert ist um Problem auszuschließen.
Wenn es keinen Info´s gibt was installiert ist muss ich wohl damit leben. Wundert mich allerdings schon.

Im Gegensatz zu Windows, liefert Linux die Treiber die es gibt im allgemeinen mit. Die gelben Ausrufezeichen deuten bei Windows meist auf fehlende Treiber oder Resourcenkonflikte hin. Wenn es für ein Gerät keinen Treiber gibt, funktioniert es einfach nicht. Über hwinfo, lspci und lsusb kannst Du abfragen was für Geräte gefunden wurden. Bei unbekannten Geräten wirft hwinfo gerne ein "unkown" aus und lspci kann dir keinen Namen dazu liefern. Darüber ob das Gerät funktioniert oder nicht, sagt das aber nicht zwangsläufig was aus.

Hier mal ein Beispiel eines Gerätes das nicht funktioniert. Das dürfte mein Modem im Notebook sein.

Wenn Du Linux administrieren können willst und dass nicht nur über Erfahrung lernen willst, empfehle ich dir die LPI zu machen. Da bekommt man einen schönen Überblick.

Jetzt kann ich in etwa abschätzen, ob unbekannte Geräte im System sind.

Zum LPI: Ich hab derzeit eine Schulung über Linux, diese ist allerdings nicht der LPI.

LPI ist kein Kurs, sondern ein Institut. Das Linux Professional Institute. Das vergibt Zertifizierungen - wenn man entsprechende Prüfungen besteht. Es wird in der Wirtschaft gut anerkannt, da es Distributionsunabhängig ist. Mehr dazu in der Wikipedia.
