Remote Desktop can’t connect to the remote computer.” What could be wrong?

Hey everyone , I'm facing an issue with my RDP connection. Whenever I try to connect using the Remote Desktop app, I get the error:

“Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer.”

I've already checked that my internet connection is working fine, but I'm still unable to connect. I'm not sure whether the problem is with the RDP port (3389) , firewall settings , or Windows configuration .

First try would be "nmap WINDOWS-IP" to see if the port is open.
