ADSL mit Speedtouch 510

sollte einfach sein - ist es aber nicht. Habe SuSE9.2 und obiges Modem.
Bekomme aber im syslog:

und nix geht - jeder ping in die Außenwelt stirbt.

Nach einer gegoogleten Anleitung habe ich in /etc/ppp/options:
debug
noauth
modem
mru 1492
mtu 1492
netmask 255.0.0.0
defaultroute
nopcomp

sowie in /etc/ppp/pap-secrets und /etc/ppp/chap-secrets user und pw hinterlegt.

Irgendwelche Ideen? Oder geht das eh über YaST?

Hi,

bei 9.2 bin ich mir nicht 100% sicher aber mit SuSE 9.3 habe ich das Modem damals direkt mit YaST eingerichtet.

Du brauchst nur in YaST die DSL Konfiguration aufrufen und dann deinen Provider auswählen. Zugangsdaten eingeben und das wars schon.

Sollte deine Netzwerkkarte die ans Modem angeschlossen ist noch nicht konfiguriert sein kannst du das auch in diesem Yast Modul erledigen. Es gibt dort in der DSL Konfiguration einen Absprungpunkt.
