Anleitung: Broadcom WLAN und SuSE Linux 10

Hallo,

ich habe bei meinem Dell D610 die Broadcom WLAN Karte unter SuSE 10 zum Laufen gebracht !

6.Configurationfile (bei mir 14E4:4318:1028:0005.5.conf ) editieren und RadioState|0 auf RadioState|1 setzen.
7.Nun mit Yast eine neue WLAN Verbindung einrichten und als Modul ndiswrapper angeben.
8.WLAN und Netzwerk Parameter (Schlüssel etc.) einstellen
9.System booten oder manueller restart von ndiswrapper und network
10.Fertig

den 6ten Punkt verstehe ich nicht, wo finde ich denn das conf file? und woher weiss ich wie meine überhaupt heisst?

ich versuche es auch gerade aber er generiert immer mehrere config dateien und es sieht auch alles etwas anders aus. Könntest du mir bitte helfen?

Hallo,

wichtig sind die Zeilen der /var/log/messages mit den ndiswrapper Ausgaben. Das tail -30 zeigt einfach nur die letzten 30 Zeilen.
Versuchs mal mit

grep ndiswrapper /var/log/messages

oder

Code:

less /var/log/messages

(Mit / kann man suchen, mit q beenden)

um die entsprechenden Zeilen zu finden.

Hallo zusammen. Wenn ich den Befehl "ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf" eingebe, bekomme ich folgende Meldung:

Der Treiber lässt sich also anscheinend nicht installieren. Ich habe ein HP Pavilion zd8000. Was kann man hier machen?

Außerdem habe ich neben dem Treiber "bcmwl5.inf" noch einen "bcmwl5a.inf". Wo ist der Unterschied?

Hallo,

es kann sein, dass die inf Dateien für unterschiedliche Hardware (Chipsätze) benutzt werden.
Da der bcmwl5.inf nicht funktioniert, versuch doch mal den Anderen...
Den genauen Unterschied wird man vielleicht herausfinden können, wenn man sich die Dateien mal ansieht.

So klever war ich schon dass ich auch den Anderen ausprobiert habe. Da bekomme ich die gleiche Meldung! :-(

lspci ist ein Shell Kommando.
Es zeigt die PCI Geräteliste.
Du kannst es als root Benutzer ausführen.

Richtig, so schauts auch aus! Und was bedeutet das? Und vorallem: Was heißt "nativ"? Kann dazu leider keine Erklärung finden...

Hmm...

Ich habe den gleichen Chip in meinem Dell Rechner.
Schon mal des aktuellen Windows Treiber von HP besorgt ?
Ansonsten könnte ich Dir auch mal meinen Treiber von Dell schicken.

Ich wollte die Treiber von der CD neutzen, das hat nicht funktioniert. Nun ist ja aber auch nicht zu vergessen, das ich diese "DB"-Fehlermeldung habe. Schau mal weiter oben. Ich bin mir nicht so sicher, dass das eine Treibersache ist!

Habe was auf der Seite von denen gefunden. Der neue Treiber ist allerdings in einer exe-Datei verpackt...

Manchmal sind das nur selbstextraierende Zip Files.
Versuch mal einfach ein unzip.
Oder wine hilft Dir weiter...
