DVD-ROM-Laufwerk

Hallo, hab mal wieder ein Problem.
Ich habe vorhin Opensuse 11.1 auf einem alten Rechner installiert (Mainboard ECS K7S5A, ÁMD Duron 1 GHz CPU, 1x 40 GB Maxtor-FP, 756 MB RAM, 2 DVD-ROM-Laufwerke). Bei der Installation und im BIOS werden/wurden die beiden Laufwerke erkannt, beim fertig installierten Linux nicht mehr, warum nur ? Ich habe das gemerkt, weil ich eine Musik-CD abspielen wollte. In Yast und im Konqueror tauchen die DVD-ROMs nicht auf, klar das Amarok nichts abspielen kann. Ich habe schon nach Mainboard-Treibern gegoogelt, gibt's aber nur für Windows, für Linux Fehlanzeige. Oder liegt es an was anderem ? Muß ich noch was nachinstallieren ? Hoffe, mir kann jemand helfen. Danke schonmal.

Ich mußte hier leider ein paar Angaben weglassen, weil der Beitrag nur 60000 Zeichen erlaubt.
Das komische ist ja, daß es bei Yast unter Hardware-Informationen auftaucht, aber bei "My Computer", bzw. im Konqueror nicht mehr. D.h. die Laufwerke werden nicht als Datei erkannt. Ich hoffe, diese Angaben reichen erstmal.

Ich habe jetzt mal eine DVD eingelegt, die erkennt das System sofort, also fkt. das nur bei CDs nicht. Aber ich dachte, mit DVD-Laufwerken kann man auch CDs lesen.

Bevor du wild herum hackst, lies dir http://www.linupedia.org/opensuse/Multimedia einmal durch - besonders den Abschnitt zur Nachrüstung der Multimediafähigkeiten in openSuse, denn ob CD oder DVD ist der Susi fast völlig egal.
Anders sieht es aus, wenn "Digitale Rechte" möglicherweise angekratzt werden - das mag openSuse nicht so ohne weiteres unterstützen.
