Es ist mir nicht möglich, den scanner dieser Maschine zu installieren (der Drucker läuft ohne Probleme). Ich habe den Treiber installiert und die Datei /etc/fstab modifiziert wie von Brother verlangt.
Ich vermute, dass die Suse-updates etwas verändert haben, am Anfang funktionierte er nämlich perfekt. Auch unter XP gibt es keine Probleme...
Die Abfrage "lsusb" ergibt Folgendes:
