[gelöst] localhost wird nicht mehr aufgelöst

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe hier ein Problem, das ich plötzlich 'localhost' nicht mehr pingen kann.
Ich habe hier eine Suse 10.2 laufen und an der Konfiguration in der letzten Zeit eigentlich nichts geändert.

Hier mal ein paar Auszüge:

$ ls -al /etc/hosts

Den hosts-Eintrag habe ich auch bereits versuchsweise mal von ´dns´ auf ´hosts, bind´ und ´files´ geändert.
Das brachte jedoch auch keine Veränderung (oder muss man nach diesem Eintrag eventuell das System neu starten?).

Für mich sieht es so aus, als ob er /etc/hosts gar nicht einliest.
Kann sich das von euch jemand erklären und weiss eventuell einen Rat?

Also scheinbar war tatsächlich ein Neustart des Systems notwendig.
Nach Eintrag von

host: files, dns

in der nsswitch.conf und einem Reboot funktioniert der Ping auf localhost wieder.
Wie es zu der Änderung in der nsswitch.conf kam, das weiss der Geier.

Das glaub ich nicht, dass er es weiß. Aber nun ist es ja gelöst und damit muß er auch nicht
