Speicherzugriffsfehler bei VLC

Hi,
wenn ich eine DVD mit dem VLC Player öffnen will dann kommt die Fehlermeldung

Ich hab keine AHnung was das bedutet. Kann mir bitte jemand helfen?

Friert ein wenn ich eine SVCD einlege. Nur bei DVDs kommt dieser Speicherzugriffsfehler.

Starte mal den vlc mit

o.k., nachdem ich vlc mit "strace vlc" gastartet, eine dvd eingelegt und den laufwerkspfad eingestellt habe, stürzte das programm wieder mal ab mit dieser meldung (ein auszug davon)

Meldungen bekommst du eher durch "vlc -vvv".

Hast du eventuell einige Pakete von packman (ffmpeg etc) und den vlc von der vlc Homepage?

Die Kombination lief bei mir mit dem gleichen Ergebnis. Mit dem packman vlc ging es dann.

Ansonsten kannst du in den Optionen des vlc mal versuchen, ein anderes Videoausgabemodul einzustellen.

ich habs nicht von der homepage sondern mit smart installiert. für vlc gibt es für suse glaube ich eigene repo und die abhängigkeiten sind von packman.
ich werd mal versuche eine andere ausgabe einzustellen.

EDIT: ich kann bei mir beim besten willen keinen video output codec einstellen.
