Ist wie gesagt ein Toughbook CF-72

Ich habe jetzt folgendes Problem:
Der Laptop wird nach längerem Betrieb extrem heiß, ohne das der Lüfter anspringt. Wenn er dann anspringt läuft er auf vollen Touren und das jweilige Programm hängt erstmal so 2-3 Minuten bevor er weiterläuft. Das Problem tritt z.B. auf, wenn ich in Opera viele Fenster aufmache (kompletter Absturz von Opera), wenn ich in OO die Rechtschreibung überprüfen will (dauert ca. 3 Minuten bis er damit anfängt) und bei diversen Spielen (UFO:AI, hier springt nur der Lüfter auf vollen Touren an, aber das Spiel hängt nicht.). Also bei diesen Programmen ist es mir bis jetzt aufgefallen.

Weiß da jemand Rat?

Mit Klaptop oder KPowersafe diverse Profiele testen. So kannst du den Rechner mit weniger Leistung laufen lassen damit er nicht immer so heiss wird. Eventuell ACPI etc. abschalten, so das der Luefter immer rennt das er erst garnicht so heiss werden kann.

Mein alter Privatlaptop ist auch immer fuerchterlich heiss geworden.
Abhilfe brachten eine Aufruestung auf 512 MB RAM (256 sind zu wenig fuer openSUSE 10.x, das duerfte mit 11.0 nicht besser geworden sein (*) und ich lese da bei Dir 375 MB :arrow: Kiste muss dauernd swappen) und -voellig trivial- mal ordentlich mit dem Staubsauger alle Ritzen ausgeleuchtet.
Staubflocken behindern die Luftzufuhr und dann wirds leicht heiss.

(*) Kann ich nicht beurteilen, ist nur Vermutung; meine einzige 11.0 Dose hat 'komfortable' 3072 MB Arbeitsspeicher und die Grafikkarte (256 MB) ist sicherheitshalber auch noch extra und nicht shared ... :shock:

P.S.: Ein eventuelles dauerndes Swappen muesstest Du am 'Festplattenroedelgeraeusch' erkennen

Also RAM wollte ich mir eh mal ein bisschen mehr reinbauen, geht aber erst wenn wieder Kohle da is

Lüfter säubern werd ich wohl auch mal machen müssen (ist 5 Jahre alt das Teil), muss aber erstmal ne Anleitung finden, denn ich glaub da muss man das komplette Teil zerlegen

ACPI abschalten, find ich nicht so gut, denn wenn ich in der Bib sitze und der Löfter immer rennt, werden sich die anderen badanken

Und langsamer soll er ja auch nicht laufen.

nscd kannst du beenden. Wirklich sinnvoll ist der nur Netzwerken wo die Anbindung an LDAP oder eine ähnliche Datenbank zu langsam ist.

Also beim saubermachen kam nix dabei raus. der Lüfter war porentief rein.
Was ich komisch finde ist, dass der Lüfter gar nicht läuft und dann plötzlich auf vollen Touren, gibts da keine Temperatursteuerung oder so? Dass er halt wenn er ein bisschen warm wird ein bissschen läuft?

Elektrische Geräte kennen in der Regel nur 2 Betriebszustände 1(an) und 0(aus). :wink:

Dafür gibt es dann Steuergeräte und Widerstände :wink:

Ich kenn zwar dieses Toughbook nicht, aber kannst du im BIOS den Lüftermodus von Silent auf Performance umstellen? Bei meinem Notebook macht das jedenfalls nen Unterschied.

Habe jetzt versucht lm-sensors einzurichten, allerdings sagt er mir bei sensors-detect das keine Seonsoren gefunden wurden
