Welchen WLAN USB Stick

Hallo zusammen,
umsomehr ich hier als Linux Neuling lese um so verwirrter werde ich mit der WLAN Geschichte.
Ich habe 2 WLAN USB Sticks zur Auswahl um über den 'devolo Wireless extender' Online zu gehen.
Zum erstenden DIGITUS 7003 GC und denn noch Netgear WG 111.

Mit welchen geht es im allgemeinen leichter oder gibts noch eine bessere Empfehlung was mich natürlich auch sehr freuen würde.

Hallo Rainer und danke für Deine Antwort,
aber genau das hab ich schon versucht.
Eigentlich habe ich darauf spekuliert das jemand sagt;
Stick A ist prima, einrichten geht ruckzuck, Stick B ist etwas umständlicher.
Aber ganz was anderes, kann es sein das KNetworkmanager nicht zum Standartpaket von OpenSuse 11 gehört, entweder bin ich blind oder.....

Der gehört IMHO nur dazu, wenn Du KDE verwendest! Ist ja ein KDE-Programm (Ich lasse mich aber gerne eines Bessseren belehren). Aber Du kannst ja mal in der Konsole knetworkmanager<CR> eingeben. Dann sollte er sich öffnen

Wie man >hier< sieht, ist Knetworkmanager Bestandteil des OSS-Repositories. Bei Gnome gibt es ebenso ein GUI für den Networkmanager. Kann natürlich sein, dass die nur dann installiert werden, wenn man bei der Netzwerkeinrichtung den Weg über den Networkmanager auswählt. Bei meinem Lappi brauchte ich jedenfalls nichts nachzuinstallieren.

Zu der Frage mit den USB-Sticks: Allein aus der Typbezeichnung des Herstellers lassen sich nicht immer Rückschlüsse auf den verwendeten Chipsatz und damit die Linux-Tauglichkeit ziehen. Die Ergebnisse eines beherzten

Den Stick kannste schon mal 'inne Tonne' kloppen. Der läuft höchstens mit ndiswrapper.

Und der andere Stick sagt?

[Edit:] Dem Netgear fehlt offensichtlich die Firmware für den p54usb-Treiber.

P.S.: Wegen der Länge wird hier niemand erschlagen. Aber für das Nichtverwenden von Code-Tags sind hier schon Todesfälle bekannt geworden. Auch von hartnäckigen Permanent-Kleinschreibern und Satzzeichenignoraten sind schon letale Begegnungen mit dem Mod berichtet worden.

Rein spaßhalber werde ich mein Glück mal mit Ndiswrapper versuchen da sich den Netgear Stick jemand anders unter den Nagel gerißen hat.
