wireless disabled ??? enable

Moin, moin ...
... bin mit Linux absolut frisch. Wollte jetzt auch mal einsteigen und hab mir suse 11 herunter geladen und installiert (Gnom 2.22 auf einem Acer Travelmate 290 mit intel 2200 WL-Karte). Nun zu meinem Problem: Wenn ich frisch installiert habe (neben Win XP) ist meine WL-Verbindung aktiv und ich kann aufs Internet zugreifen (egal ob Gnom, KDE 3 oder KDE 4). Sobalt ich einen Neustart mache ist "wireless disabled". Kann mir jemand sagen wie ich wireless auf enable einstellen kann???

Ich hab die WLan auf fester IP (ohne DHCP), Kanal 1 und mit Networkmanager konfiguriert. Wie gesagt immer nach einer Neuinst. funktioniert sie. Da ich aber keine Lust habe meinen Läppi die ganze Zeit laufen zu lassen, wäre jede Hilfe sehr nett ;-))

... ok hab jetzt noch mal genauer hin gesehen. Wenn ich XP starte wird mein WL gestartet (Led geht an) Wenn ich nun einen Neustart mache bleibt das Led an und WL ist unter Linux verfügbar! Wenn ich den Läppi aus schalte und dann in Linux fahre bleibt die Lampe aus. Wie bekommt man das zum Laufen. AcerHK ab ich auch schon installiert ... nada! Auch mit den Befehlen modprobe ipw2200 und ifconfig eth1 up ist nichts zu wollen ;-(

Ich hab die WLan auf fester IP (ohne DHCP), Kanal 1 und mit Networkmanager konfiguriert.

... sorry das ich Dich berichtigen muss aber das geht!! Wie ich es auch oben schon beschrieben habe funktioniert das sogar ohne Probleme. Wenn diese doofe WL-LED an ist!!! Ich kann ohne Probleme zwischen WLan und Lan hin und her schalten ... läuft super. Ich muss die WL-LED aber erst durch ein Booten mit XP aktivieren und dann Neustart in Linux. Mein Problem ist nur, wie bekomme ich unter Linux (ohne booten über XP) diese WL-LED zum Laufen. Das hat nichts mit der festen IP zu tun, denn mit eingestelltem DHCP bekomme ich die Lampe auch nicht an.

... rcnetwork restart funktioniert leider auch nicht.
Wenn ich über XP Neustart in Linux gehe funktioniert auch der Hardwareschalter (dank acerhk!!). Ich kann also mit dem Schalter das WL an und ab schalten. Boote ich denn Laptop direkt in Linux .... keine Reaktion ... kein WL :???:

.... ach seit ich acerhk erfolgreich (hoffentlich) installiert habe bekomme ich beim Start von Linux (nur über XP!!) folgende Meldung:
/user/bin/nm-applet versucht auf Standartschlüssel zuzugreifen .... bitte eingeben. ...... Hmmmm????
Kann jemand etwas damit anfangen????

Aus dem Script lese ich das du den Treiber für deinen WLAN drin hast. Aber es ist ausgeschaltet mit einem Hardware oder Software Switch. (<-----acerhk !!! )
Bis jetzt ist soweit in Ordnung.

Das gibt es doch nicht!! ich hab auch mal ifconfig eth1 up ... aber auch nichts :???:
Ohne XP starten und dann Neustart (ohne Laptop auszuschalten) ist mit WLan nichts zu wollen. Ich hab jetzt heraus gefunden, dass für das Einschalten der LED (WLan-Karte) unter XP das Programm Launch-Manager zuständig ist. aber ansonsten ???? Hmmmm. Hab zwar noch ein wenig gegoogled aber was besseres als hier hab ich auch nicht gefunden ..... so ein Mist!! Wie kann ich diese doofe Karte nur zum Leben erwecken?? :???:

Ich sage eindeutig an einer "klitzekleinen" Einstellung das mit acerhk zu tun hat...
Oder bin ich so blöd, dass ich dir das nicht den Link mit der Lösung zum acerhk gepostet habe...hee???

.... sorry, ich verstehe gerade nicht was Du mir sagen willst. Das da evtl. eine Kleinigkeit (bei acerhk) in der Einstellung fehlt ... gut das ist bestimmt so. Das mit dem Link hab ich genau so abgearbeitet.

In die
/etc/init.d/boot.local

diese Zeilen
modprobe acerhk
echo 1 > /proc/driver/acerhk/wirelessled

und das mit
sudo gedit /etc/init.d/boot.local

Da ich mich jetzt aber erst seit ca. 1 - 2 Wochen mit Linux befasse, bin ich eben nicht sooooo firm in der Materie. Sorry!

... gibt es da evtl. Unterschiede zwischen suse, ubuntu, debian oder redhat. Oder gnome, KDE .... etc. was WLan angeht????? Keine Ahnung wie ich da jetzt weiter machen soll. So ohne WLan kann ich mit Linux seeeehr wenig anfangen. :???:

In gewisser Hinsicht schon. Wobei Ubuntu, Fedora auf Debian aufgebaut sind. Mit den Hardwareerkennung handhabt jede Distribution etwas anders.
Der Link den ich dir gegeben hatte, ist für opensuse gedacht.
