6 in 1 card reader will nicht (mass storge)

Hallo,
ich bin seit ca 2 Wochen (begeisterter) Linux Benutzer (Suse 9.1 Pro).
Ich habe mir einen USB 6 in 1 Card Reader (usb 1.1) gekauft, und musste feststellen, dass alles nicht ganz so klappte wie ich es mir erdacht hatte.

Wenn ich den Kartenleser mit eingesteckter Karte anstecke (hab ich vorm booten und danach ausprobiert) passiert garnichts.
Wenn ich in der Komandozeile "mount" eingebe taucht da auch nichts auf:

Der Kartenleser ist ein Mass Storage Device und wird unter Xp erkannt ohne treiberinstallation.
Ich habe vor kurzem einen Mp3 Player ausprobiert und konnte den problemlos als dev/sda1 mounten.

Ich habe auch so einen Kartenleser wie in dem Topic.

NUR BEI MIR KOMMT SELBST NACH 10 MINUTEN KEIN ZUSÄTZLICHES LAUFWERK!

Hi,

ich habe auch sue linux 9.1 und so einen Card-Reader. Ich mounte den wie folgt:
Console öffnen:
su
[root-pw eingeben]
dann:

für CF
mount -t vfat /dev/sda /media/CF

für MS
mount -t vfat /dev/sdb /media/MS

für SM
mount -t vfat /dev/sdc /media/SM

SD/MMC
mount -t vfat /dev/sdd /media/mmc

Schreiberechte habe ich weiterhin nur als root!

Vielleicht hilft das weiter!

Dann probier das gleiche mal mit 'usb-storage'. Sorry für die Rumprobiererei, aber ich habe da auch nicht soviel Ahnung...

kann das sein:
du sagst das ding ist USB 1.1, vielleicht läuft der nicht mit USB2

evtl musst du deine Treiber auch auf USB 1.1 umstellen
USB1 (uhci bzw. ohci)
USB2 (ehci)

da kann man die Reihenfolge der Module beeinflussen
/etc/sysconfig/kernel
MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT=""

ist nur eine Vermutung ....
