ath9k macht kein n-Modus

Hallöchen,

in meinem Laptop ist eine Atheros WLAN-Karte verbaut. Diese macht (zumindest unter Windows) den n-Standard mit 150 mbit.
Unter Opensuse 11.2 (KDE 4.8) wird mir aber im Netzerkmanager die Wlan-Karte angezeit, eine Vergindug kommt auch zu stande, aber als Band nur "b/g". Kein "n"!! Als Modul wird ath9k verwendet.

Wie kann ich das lösen?

WLAN n hat 300 MBit/s. Deine Atheros Karte ist eine b/g Karte und die 150 Mbit/s kommen nur zu Stande, weil in deinem Router auch ein Atheros Chip verwendet wird. Bei Broadcom Chips verhält es sich ähnlich.

Poste mal bitte die Ausgabe von

nein, es ist definitiv ein n-chipsatz.. sowohl laut Atheros als auch laut Samsung!!!
Denn warum sollte es sonst unter Windows funktionieren? Dort wird ja auch im n-Modus vebunden...

Kann dein Router den Wireless N? Was hast du für einen Router? Hast du in der Router Konfiguration mal überprüft, ob man Wireless N erst noch aktivieren muss?

Ich suche mal ob ich wegen dem Problem etwas finde.
 
ich habe einen speedport 723v. der kann auch den n-modus. dieser ist auch aktiviert. dies habe ich überprüft. ausserdem funktioniert es under windows ja auch problemlos.

Installiere mal eine aktuelle Distri. Für 11.2 gibt es keinerlei Support mehr, also auch keine Updates.Möglicherweise hatte der Atheros Treiber dort noch keine Wireless-N Unterstützung.
 
ups... verzeihnung... habe natürlich 12.1 installiert.. bin immer up-do-date :)
alle sicherheitspatches sind auch installiert...

Ein Bug im Atheros Treiber sorgt dafür, dass du kein WLAN-N verwenden kannst.

..oder nen anderen wlan-stick anschließen ... oder das gute alte kabel :)
