Compiz lassen sich nicht aktivieren

Hallo,

ich habe eine ATI Radeon Mobility x1400 und versuche die Arbeitsflächen-Effekte zu aktivieren, aber immer wenn ich bei "Enable" einen Hacken setze kommt folgende Fehlermeldung:

"Desktop effects are not supported on your current hardware / configuration. Would you like to activate them anyway?"

Repositories sind alles installiert.

Folgendes habe ich nach Ati installation gemacht

aticonfig --initial --input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf
sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx

glx scheint nicht zu laufen !

Ati Catalyst Controllcenter funkt auch !

folgenden treiber habe ich versucht :

ati.driver-installer-9.2-x86.x86_64.run

Der Treiber soll angeblich für 32 und 64 bit sein !

Die xorg.conf scheint mir beim Überfliegen soweit in Ordnung zu sein, aber das mit der angeblichen 32bit-Kompatibilität würde ich nochmal genauer überprüfen.

Der treiber ist für i586 und für i586_x64

jetzt habe ich mal wie in eurem wiki versucht gleicher fehler !
Muß ich den ati vorher runterschmeißen ? und wenn ja wie ?

Hast du diesen aus dem ATI-Communiy-Repo, also über YaST installiert und versuchst jetzt den von der ATI/AMD Homepage drüber zu bügeln?
[Nebensache] Ich habe hier eine ATI Radeon Mobility X1600 mit dem radeon am laufen. Kein Compiz, aber die Effekte von Kwin/KDE4 und es läuft wunderbar. Hätte ich eine xorg.conf, dann könnte ... , aber ich habe keine. :/ [/Nebensache]
