[gelöst] AR242x802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter

Hm,

Da fehlte die erwartete Fehlermeldung beim Laden des Moduls ath_pci, vermutlich war das Modul ath_pci schon geladen.

modprobe -r ndiswrapper

modprobe -r ath_pci

moprobe ath_pci 

dmesg | tail -n 20

Danach wieder "Retour" wie oben, damit die Karte wieder mit ndiswrapper betrieben wird.

Und dann würde ich noch

a) Das madwifi-kmp-default runterwerfen

b) Das Modul ath5k "blacklisten":

ans Ende der Datei /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist als extra-Zeile eintragen (mit einem als root gestarteten Texteditor).

Muß hier nochml nen Nachtrag anbringen.

Hatte den ndiswrapper wieder deinstalliert, weil ich eine andere USB-Wlan-Karte zum testen hatte, und diese funktionierte.
Ich habe das dann so gemacht, wie @Rain_Maker es beschrieben hatte.

Hatte dann auch als letztes in die Blacklist den Eintrag "blacklist ath5k" eingefügt. ->Testkarte raus -> Rechner neu gestartet ....-> und siehe da, die AR242x läuft.

Keine Ahnung wieso,.....aber sie läuft...und das auch nach mehrfachen Neustarts.

Habe mal iwconfig gemacht:

Da scheinen sich ath5k und ath_pci zu beissen.

Umso besser, wenn es nun nativ läuft (vielleicht ist es auch genau das Problem der User im madwifi-Ticket, die diesen "HAL status 3"-Fehler vermelden).

Um das Ganze mal (überraschenderweise positiv) abzuschliessen, poste doch bitte folgendes:

Sogar mit dem "alten" Hal ... Surprise, Surprise .. (müsste also das Paket madwifi-kmp-default-ng_r3365_2.6.25.5_1.1-20080227_patch_AR5007EG.i586.rpm sein).


Wenn Du besonders "mutig" sein willst (notfalls geht man eben wieder auf das obige RPM zurück), dann kanst Du nun mal das Paket mit dem neuen HAL austesten, also zum Bleistift das hier:

madwifi-kmp-default-r3698+AR5007EG_2.6.25.5_1.1-rm.0.i586.rpm

Wenn es nicht klappt, dann eben wieder zurück auf das vorherige, allerdings muss nach jeder Installation ausnahmsweise neu gestartet werden.

Falls nicht, dann haben wir mit dem TE hier

ein weiteres, potentielles "Versuchskarnickel", der so oder so Pakete mit dem "neuen" HAL verwenden muss, da nur diese 64-Bit Systeme unterstützen.

madwifi-kmp-default-r3698+AR5007EG_2.6.25.5_1.1-rm.0.i586.rpm

drin, und sie funktioniert auch damit.

Damit ist der "Übeltäter" ziemlich eindeutig "identifiziert", der ath5k muss auf die Blacklist.

Markiere den Thread bitte noch als gelöst.

Da es auch mit diesem Paket mit "neuem" HAL funktioniert, habe ich das oben verlinkte

madwifi-kmp-default-ng_r3365_2.6.25.5_1.1-20080227_patch_AR5007EG.i586.rpm

mit dem "gepatcht und nur für 32 Bit geeignet"-HAL aus der Downloadsektion gelöscht.

Das war eh nur eine Notlösung und wenn nun die Lösung funktioniert, die es möglicherweise bald in den nächsten Madwifi-Release schaffen wird, dann sollte diese logischerweise bevorzugt werden.
