[gelöst] HIIIIILFE kann KMAIL nicht einrichten

Ich hab auf meinem Notebook Amilo LI 1718 Suse 11 aufgespielt. Jetzt wollte ich KMAIL konfigurieren, weil alle meine alten Einstellungen von Suse 10.3 weg sind (Identitäten, Zugänge etc). Und dabei mußte ich leider feststellen, daß ich den Add Account-Dialog gar nicht mehr ausfüllen kann, WEIL ER IN DER HÖHE NICHT AUF DEN NOTENOOK-BILDSCHIRM PASST und dieser Dialog sich auch nicht verkleinern läßt!!! grmpf :igitt: :ugly: :zensur: :???: :x

Ich habe bereits alles mögliche probiert: Schrift verkleinern bringt ebenso wenig wie mit den Auflösungen rumspielen, der Dialog wird immer unten abgeschnitten. Nach oben verschieben, so daß ich an die unteren Eingabefelder rankomme, geht auch nicht.

Fällt jemandem dazu etwas ein?

Tritt das nur bei Kmail oder auch bei anderen Programmen auf?
Hört sich nach einem Grafikkarten Problem an.

Benutzt du KDE4.x wenn ja in welcher Version?

Ich nutze KMAIL 1.9.51 unter Gnome, Version 2.22.1. Es hndelt sich um die Kaufversion von Suse 11. Das Problem trat erst jetzt auf, möglicherweise war vorher die downloade-Version installiert.

Kenn mich mit Suse nicht so gut aus, aber sieht eher wie ein Software- bzw. Dialog-Layout-Problem aus. Wenn ich die Bildschirmauflösung ändere, ändern sich alle Schriften, werden z.B. winzig klein - nur die in den kmail-Dialogen ändern sich nicht oder nicht ausreichend.

Ich meinte damit nicht das die Hardware defekt ist sondern das etwas an der Auflösung nicht stimmt.
Deshalb auch die Frage ob das zum Beispiel bei Thunderbird auch auftritt aber wahrscheinlich nicht.
Sollte das aber der Fall sein stell doch bitte mal deine xorg.conf ins Board und mal einen Grafikkarten Treiber installieren.

Hast du mal Kmail deinstalliert und mal neu aufgespielt aus deiner DVD Version?

Ich habe SUSE mehrfach installiert und jeweils die Partition mit dem root-Verzeichnis formatiert. Dabei wurden offensichtlich auch unterschiedliche Versionen von kmail aufgespielt - und wenns nur die Sprachlibs sind, denn im Moment hab ich ein heilloses Durcheinander von einem deut-englichen Kauderwelsch, Sprachmix teilweise im gleichen Menuepunkt. Aber das ist noch das kleinere Problem.

Mit Alt-Taste und gedrückter Maustaste lassen sich die Fenster verschieben, dass dürfte erstmal kurzfristig das Problem lösen.

Volltreffer !!! Genau das wars, wonach ich gesucht hatte. Das is ne vollständig zufriedenstellende Lösung, mehr brauch man/ich nich. Danke! für den Tip.
