[Gelöst] Problem mit YAST2 - Startet nur unter der Terminal

Ich hab ein komisches Problem mit openSUSE 10.1.
Wenn ich unter GNOME auf YAST klicke öffnet sich ein Fenster "Passwort erforderlich".
Nach dem ich das richtige PW eingegeben hatte, passiert nun nichts mehr.

Ich kann aber Yast über die Konsole starten:

su
<passwort eingabe>
/sbin/yast2

... sprich alle Programme, die das ROOT-PW brauchen kann ich nur noch so starten.
Mit was kanns zusammenhängen?

Starte das ganze doch mal aus der Konsole und poste die Fehlermeldung.

gnomesu /sbin/yast2

Btw: Das ist dann wohl eher ein WM-Problem.

So das kam raus:

The fix: The hint with ~/.Xauthority is a clue, but a misleading one. Since gnomesu fails to launch a program after the authentication, the problem is with the user root.

To fix the problem, you will have to delete the file /root/.Xauthority, not the one for your current user!

If this is not enough: reboot, press F2 in GRUB, add the boot option "init 3" (w/o the quotes), login in the console, remove the file .Xauthority for all the affected users plus the root (you may also delete all the .xauth* files), then go to your regular init 5.

Der Fix: Der Hinweis mit ~/.Xauthority ist die Lösung. Wenn gnomesu ein Programm nach einer Authentifikation nicht mehr starten kann, hat es was mit dem Benutzer root zu tun.

Um das Problem zu lösen lösche die Datei /root/.Xauthority, nicht aber die vom aktuellen Benutzer!

Wenn das immer noch nicht genug ist: Reboote und drück F2 in GRUB. Füge die Boot-Option "init3" (ohne den Gänsefüßchen) hinzu und log dich in die Konsole ein. Entferne die .Xauthority-Datei von allen betroffenen Benutzern und die vom Benutzer root. (Könnte sein, das Du also ale .xauth*-Dateien löschen musst). Danach gehe zu Deiner regulären init5.
