Das solltest du als root ausführen.
Komischerweise bist du der einzige der dieses Problem hat, jedenfalls habe ich seid ich hier mitlese noch nie davon gelesen.

Melde mich auch mal wieder zu Wort.

Der Subwoofer wird im Alsamixer mit einem separaten Regler angesprochen. Der müsste mit "LFE" gekennzeichnet sein.
Dann klappt das auch mit dem "Bumms" wieder.

warum ich der einzige bin, kann ich auch nicht erklären :p
 
Sorry mitr fällt definitiv nichts mehr dazu ein.
Vor allem wenn das unter Windows funktioniert, dann sind ja auch eventuelle Stecker/Hardware Probleme Blödsinn.

Die geladenen Module und der Rest scheint IMHO jedenfalls zu passen. :???:

Wird zwar nicht viel bringen aber zeig uns das trotzdem mal bitte.

ja unter Windows läuft alles super.
Ich denke es liegt an der Einstellung 'Mitten- und Subwooferausgang vertauschen' die der Linux Treiber mir nicht bietet.

damit ich wenigstens ordentlich musik hören kann hab ich folgendes als notlösung gemacht:
ich hab einfach deas kabel für sourround und das für center+subwoofer sowohl an der sound"karte" als auch am verstärker abgezogen.
dadurch wird 5.1 abgeschaltet und ich bekomm nur noch stereo sound. ist ganz akzeptabel.

aber wenn jemand noch irgendeine kleine idee hat dann würde ich mich sehr darüber freuen!!!

AC97 Quirk Option
=================

The ac97_quirk option is used to enable/override the workaround for
specific devices on drivers for on-board AC'97 controllers like
snd-intel8x0. Some hardware have swapped output pins between Master
and Headphone, or Surround (thanks to confusion of AC'97
specifications from version to version :)

The driver provides the auto-detection of known problematic devices,
but some might be unknown or wrongly detected. In such a case, pass
the proper value with this option.

The following strings are accepted:
- default Don't override the default setting
- none Disable the quirk
- hp_only Bind Master and Headphone controls as a single control
- swap_hp Swap headphone and master controls
- swap_surround Swap master and surround controls
- ad_sharing For AD1985, turn on OMS bit and use headphone
- alc_jack For ALC65x, turn on the jack sense mode
- inv_eapd Inverted EAPD implementation
- mute_led Bind EAPD bit for turning on/off mute LED

For backward compatibility, the corresponding integer value -1, 0,
... are accepted, too.

For example, if "Master" volume control has no effect on your device
but only "Headphone" does, pass ac97_quirk=hp_only module option.

bei mir existiert der ordner /usr/src/linux/ gar nicht, und damit natürlich auch keiner der unterordner.
ich habe in /usr/src/ nur zwei andere ordner, die je 2 dateien enthalten.

nachdem ich die option in /etc/modprobe.d/sound hinzugefügt habe, und alsa beendet habe, kommt beim starten folgendes:

Wie sieht deine /etc/modprobe.d/sound mit dieser Änderung aus?
Da stimmt was an der Syntax nicht, genaueres wirst du wahrscheinlich mit dem
Befehl "dmesg" in der Textkonsole herausfinden, wenn diese Option aktiv sei.

Sind deine Kernel-Quellen installiert?
Normalerweise ist das in der Kernel-Dokumentation enthalten, die auf /usr/src/linux von dem
aktuellem Kernel verlinkt ist. Könnte sein, dass die Verlinkung bei dir nicht erstellt ist.
Das wäre in deinem Fall :
/usr/src/linux-2.6.25.18-0.2-pae/Documentation/sound/alsa/ALSA-Configuration.txt

This module supports one chip and autoprobe.

Note: on some SMP motherboards like MSI 694D the interrupts might
not be generated properly. In such a case, please try to
set the SMP (or MPS) version on BIOS to 1.1 instead of
default value 1.4. Then the interrupt number will be
assigned under 15. You might also upgrade your BIOS.

Note: VIA8233/5/7 (not VIA8233A) can support DXS (direct sound)
channels as the first PCM. On these channels, up to 4
streams can be played at the same time, and the controller
can perform sample rate conversion with separate rates for
each channel.
As default (dxs_support = 0), 48k fixed rate is chosen
except for the known devices since the output is often
noisy except for 48k on some mother boards due to the
bug of BIOS.
Please try once dxs_support=5 and if it works on other
sample rates (e.g. 44.1kHz of mp3 playback), please let us
know the PCI subsystem vendor/device id's (output of
"lspci -nv").
If dxs_support=5 does not work, try dxs_support=4; if it
doesn't work too, try dxs_support=1. (dxs_support=1 is
usually for old motherboards. The correct implemented
board should work with 4 or 5.) If it still doesn't
work and the default setting is ok, dxs_support=3 is the
right choice. If the default setting doesn't work at all,
try dxs_support=2 to disable the DXS channels.
In any cases, please let us know the result and the
subsystem vendor/device ids. See "Links and Addresses"
below.

Note: for the MPU401 on VIA823x, use snd-mpu401 driver
additionally. The mpu_port option is for VIA686 chips only.

The power-management is supported.

bei mir gibts den ordner /usr/src/linux-2.6.25.18-0.2-obj/
dieser enthält aber nur den ordner ./i386 und eine verknüpfung auf diesen mit dem namen i586
dann kommt der ordner ./pae/ und dann ./makedumpfile.config und ./Module.symvers

wie die syntax lauten muss weiß ich nicht.
kann ich was kaputt machen wenn ich einfach ein bisschen mit der syntax rumspiele?

Eigentlich müsste es einen Standard-Verzeichnis mit dem Kernel geben, ist vielleicht bei dir versteckt?

Kaum, höchstens wird dein Sound nicht gehen.
Must du auch nicht neu starten, einfach:

, als root in der Textkonsole.
Leg dir aber eine Kopie an, falls du zu viel ändern solltest.

Außer dem Linux-Kernel gibt es ein Zusatzpaket mit dem Kernel-Code , sprich der Kernel im "Ursprungtext"
samt Dokumentation. Es heisst:

kernel-source - The Linux Kernel Sources
und kann im Yast nachinstalliert werden.

Der Linux-Kernel selbst ist im Paket:

kernel-default - The Standard Kernel for both Uniprocessor and Multiprocessor Systems
zu finden.

ok ich hab jetz beide pakete installiert .
die dateien sind jetzt vorhanden. aber das problem mit der /etc/modprobe.d/sound
besteht immer noch genau so. ich hab schon alle mir logisch erscheinenden syntaxkombinationen probiert. nichts hat geklappt.

PS: ich hab wie gesagt BEIDE pakete installiert. dadurch hab ich in GRUB jetz zweimal suse zum starten (beidesmal die gleiche kernelversion) und auch zweimal FailSafe.
kann ich das paket kernel-deault einfach wieder entfernen? es war vorher ja auch nicht drauf, und ich denke nicht dass mir jast den kernel löschen kann :).

sind keine zwei Kernel.

kernel-source
ist die VORLAGE, aus der der benutzte Kernel gebaut wird. Im Normalfall ist es
dann "kernel-default_NummerdesKernels". Es können aber mehrere Kernel daraus gebaut werden für
spezielle Zwecke (z.B. Serverbetrieb). Auf einen Heimrechner sollte ein Standard-Kernel installiert werden.
Wahrscheinlich hast du jetzt einen zweiten Kernel dazuinstalliert, deswegen die zwei Wahl-Möglichkeiten
im GRUB. Den zuletzt installierten solltest du wieder abwählen.

Du solltest auch keine zusätzlichen Kernel nachinstallieren, sondern nur die Kernel-Quellen (sprich diese
VORLAGE) die zum laufendem Kernel dazupassen.

opensuse <...> (pae) #ist als standard ausgewählt
und einmal
opensuse <...> (default)

beide haben die selbe kernelversion.
da kerne-pae schon vorher drauf war und ich jetz nur kernel-default dazuinstalliert hab, sollte ich kernel-default ohne probleme wieder löschen können oder?
