HP Scanjet 5300C USB

Hallo Linux Clubber!

Ich möchte meinen Scanjet 5300C USB an meinem Medion Notebook 9467 unter Suse Linux 9.1 zum laufen kriegen. Leider wehrt er sich.
xsane sane und libieee1284 sind frisch von packman runtergeladen und installiert. Howto gelesen und das war das Ergebnis:

Auf der Sane - Hompage empfehlen die Vuescan:
http://www.hamrick.com/vsm.html ,ist aber nicht
kostenlos...

Hallo misiu!

Danke für den Tip. Funktioniert aber leider nicht bei mir.
Is auch komisch, als root erkennt er manchmal den Usb Scanner als
SCSI Gerät. Wenn man ihn installiert geht er aber auch nicht.
