Internetproblem mit Alice und Siemens SL2-141-I

Betriebssystem: openSuSE 11.1 64bit (DVD)
Router/Modem: Kaberverbundenes Siemens SL2-141-I (Werkseingestellt)

Ich habe Probleme bei der Herstellung einer Internetverbindung über Alice mit dem Siemens SL2-141-I (Router/Modem). Der/Das Router/Modem ist auf Werkeinstellung gestellt (nur User-Zugriff). Die feste IP vom Router/Modem lautet 192.168.1.1 und die vom Rechner 192.168.1.3.

Die Konfiguration der Network Settings und DSL habe ich über yast eingerichtet.

Eine Verbindung zum Router/Modem ist möglich, wenn im Browser die Adresse 192.168.1.1 aufgerufen wird. Darüber hinaus komme ich bisher nicht!
Versuche die Network Settings zu ändern brachten nichts.
Über die Software KInternet komme ich auch nicht ins Internet.
Welchen Schritt müßte ich als nächstes tun, um ins Internet zu kommen.

Für Windows XP sehen die funktionierenden Netzwerkkarteneinstellungen für LAN so aus:

Suse 11.1 ist tot.
Installier schon mal was aktuelles wie die 11.3.
Und dann bist du schon im Netz. Da fehlt nur in der etc/hosts ein vernünftiger Nameserver.

Habe jetzt openSuSE 11.3 installiert. Der Zugang zum Internet klappte reibungslos. Einen Nameserver brauchte ich dafür nicht eintragen.
