knetworkmanager bricht mit Signal 6 ab

Folgendes Problem: ich habe opensuse 10.3 neu installiert mit allen Updates. Mein Laptop (Dell Inspiron 1501) hat eine Broadcom LAN Karte und eine WLAN-Karte mit dem bcm43xx-Chip. Ich habe ndiswrapper 1.52 installiert und damit den notwendigen bcmwl5-Treiber installiert. Danach per Yast die bereits erkannte Netzwerk-Karte konfiguriert. Wenn ich nun das Laptop neu starte, stürzt der knetworkmanager regelmäßig ab.

Die WLAN-Lampe am Laptop leuchtet weiter, aber ich komme nicht mit WLAN ins Netz. Hier noch das, was mein Terminal sonst ausspuckt:

Offenbar habe ich gleich zwei Probleme. Zum einen stürzt knetworkmanager regelmäßig ab (und ich weiß nicht warum). Und zum anderen funktioniert WLAN offensichtlich auf dem Dell Laptop, dennich sehe ja meinen Router (Cell 3), aber eine Verbindung per DHCP kommt nicht zustande.

Ich könnte Hilfe gebrauchen, ich habe schon alle möglichen Konfigurationen probiert, es "funkt" einfach nicht. Seltsamerweise habe ich dieses Problem erst nach dem letzten Kernel-Update...[/quote]

Frage: Wie hast Du ndiswrapper installiert? Als rpm Paket oder hast Du kompiliert?

Wenn Du ein Programm kompilierst dann musst Du nach einem kernel-upgrade immer wieder neu kompilieren. Wenn Du aber ein rpm Paket installierst dann hast Dir die Arbeit gespart^^

Schmeiss den Knetworkmanager runter und installier ihn noch mal neu.

Hast du das Paket glibc installiert?
Wenn nicht hol das nach, hier findest du das Repo, das du aber bitte über einen Paketmanager einbindest.

....mein Dell Inspiron 1501 ist ein 64-bit-System. Ich habe opensuse 10.3 allerdings als 32-bit installiert. Sollte ja kein Problem sein. Ansonsten probiere ich deine Tipps aus und gebe dir hier eine Rückmeldung. Danke erst mal. ......

Hallo, heute hatte ich Zeit, deine Vorschläge auszuprobieren.
glibc ist installiert, auch in der korrekten Version. knetworkmanager habe ich neu installiert. am ergebnis ändert sich nicht viel. möglicherweise habe ich jedoch einen workaround für mein problem gefunden.

ich habe ndiswrapper zunächst mit rmmod entladen, dann mit modprobe wieder geladen, anschließend einen rcnetwork restart gemacht. danach schien der knetworkmanager aufzuwachen, meine kwallet fragte mich nach dem Passwort und jetzt scheint es zu gehen.

....sieht aber nicht nach Dauerlösung aus... :roll:
