pppd läst sich nicht starten

Hallo erst mal,

Benutze Suse9.0. Mit Kinternet funktioniert dsl ohne Probleme. Aber sobald ich auf der Console pppd kille und ihn mit pppd neu starte, rührt sich nichts. Was mach ich falsch? Bin mal gespannt.

Du solltest evt. noch erwähnen wie (mit welchem Befehl) du pppd versuchst zu starten
Vielleicht liegt da schon dein Fehler.

Mit "pppd"! hmm...stimmt das etwa nicht? :? Hab schon des öfteren gelesen das es so geht.

so so ... Schlaftänzer ... bei suse gibst die rc scripte

rcsmpppd status ---> statusdes dienstes
dann gibs noch start , stop , restart, (pro dienst verschieden)

wenn pppd so installiert heist das vielleicht rcpppd

Warum nutzt du dann nicht kinternet (cinternet) für start und stop
manpage sollte helfen.
und falls du mal zuviel Netzwerkzeugs gekillt hast hilft ein "rcnetwork restart"

Danke für die Antwort, aber klar ist es mir, daß das rcscripte sind. Habs auch mit rcpppd u. rcpppd (re)start probiert, aber ohne Erfolg. Ist dial-on-demand etwa schuld? Wär ja sehr crazy.
Die man-Page hab ich auch schon angepackt, aber da mein Englisch nicht das beste ist, tu ich mir da doch ein wenig schwer. Hast du vielleicht noch nen Tip?
