Gelöst Proton.me auf openSUSE

Hallo,

ich möchte die Dienste von dem schweizer Unternehemen Proton auch mit Leap 15.4 nutzen. Den Beitrag zu ProtonVPN habe ich schon gesehen.
Ich möchte aber auch ProtonMailBridge verwenden, damit ich Thunderbird weiter nutzen kann.
Dazu gibt es ein RPM beim Anbieter. Dort habe ich jedoch das Problem, dass die Anhängigkeit des Fonts dejavu-sans nicht aufgelöst wir. Der ist aber installiert. Wenn ich diese Meldung ignoriere bekommen ich beim Neustart von KDE Plasma eine Fehlermeldung von ProtonMailBridge, dass ein Schlüsselverwaltungstool nicht da ist.

Dazu hat Plasma dann auch noch Macke weg. Als graphische Oberfläche kann ich aktuell nur IceWM verwenden. KDE Plasma zeigt erst mal nur oben beschriebene Fehlermeldung von ProtonMailBridge. Wenn ich das Fenster schließe habe ich einen dunklen Hintergrund mit Mauszeiger, den ich bewegen kann, sonst passiert leider nix.
Ich vermute mal, dass es mit der Installation von ProtonMailBridge zusammen hängt, das das Problem danach auftragt. Eine Deinstallation von ProtonMailBridge bringt leider kein Besserung.

Ja, ist inzwischen gemacht. Ich habe jedoch lediglich QT6 und GCC9 eingerichtet, mehr ist unter dem Link auch nicht gefordert.

Die Fehlermeldung während der Installation sagt nur, dass der Fonts "dejavu-sans" benötigt wird, aber nicht bereitgestellt ist. Der Fonts ist jedoch installiert.

Kannst Du in dieser Situation mit Strg+Alt+F2 in ein virtuelles Terminal wechseln und Dich als Benutzer "root" anmelden?

ProtonMailBridge zeigt beim Start diesen Fehler:

Denn hier bekomm ich die Fehlermeldung nicht angezeigt.
Allerdings läuft hier auch Plasma5.

Ich verstehe unter "password manager" Programme wie keepassxc (und laut Password Managers | Proton sieht der Hersteller das offenbar auch so).

Die Fehlermeldung zum Font sehe ich nicht als Problem. Die Ursache liegt darin, daß die Distributionen bei der Erstellung der Pakete individuelle Begriffe für Provides: und Requires: verwenden (und man bei distrlibutionsfremden Paketen immer damit rechnen muß).

das ist eine wilde Mischung aus Fremd-, Factory-, Home- und openSUSE-Leap-Repositories. Da muss man schon sehr genau wissen, ob das so zusammenpasst ...

Meines Erachtens könnte in dieser Zusammenstellung die Erklärung dafür liegen, dass Plasma5 nicht funktioniert. Auf das Problem bei ProtonMailBridge hat es wahrscheinlich eher weniger eine Auswirkung. Dort fehlt ein Password-Manager. Welcher benötigt wird solltest Du über die Proton-Supportkanäle herausfinden können.

Hallo zusammen,

beim Versuch ProtonMailBridge ans Laufen zu bringen hat sich wohl aus dem Sammelsurium an Repositories was eingeschmuggelt, was Plasma5 gestört hat. Da etliche Versuche das wieder grade zu biegen fehl geschlagen sind habe ich dann neu installiert.
Wie josef.wien richtig vermutet hat lag es an einem Passwortmanager. KWallet funktioniert da aber leider nicht :-( Warum auch immer.
Ich habe mich daher an den Proton-Support gewendet. Die haben mich dann auf den richtigen Weg gebracht. Die haben gefragt ob ich "pass" oder "gnome-keyring" verwenden würde. Ich habe dann einfach "gnome-keyring" installiert und nach einem Reboot lief ProtonMailBridge dann problemlos.

Ich frage mich aber grad, weshalb ProtonMailBridge als eigene Software laufen muss. Könnte das nicht auch mit Linux Bordmitteln eines Mailservers genauso gut eingerichtet werden?
In einem anderen Thread hier wurde ProtonVPM ja auch mit normalen Linuxbordmitteln eingerichtet.
