Suse 11.1 mit KDE3.5 und Compiz

Hallo,

nachdem ich entschieden habe KDE 4.1 nicht einzusetzen (noch zu viele Fehler die nerven), habe ich mein geliebtes KDE 3.5 installiert. Leider habe ich jetzt mit Compiz ein Problem. Wenn ich den compiz-manager in der konsole starte, kommt folgender Fehler:

Ich rate mal - Du hast Deine /home-Partition (inklusiver der alten Verknüpfungen) übernommen aber noch nicht alle Anwendungen (z.B. Fusion-Icon) Deines alten Systems nachinstalliert. Kann das sein?

versuch mal folgendes:
Arbeitsfläche einrichten (persönliche einstellungen) / Designverwaltung
ändere das Design und übernehmen.

Danach wurde Compiz aktiviert (reproduzierbar)
Emerald lief allerdings bisher nicht

Hallo,

habe die Festplatte nochmal komplett platt gemacht und die Susi frisch aufgespielt. Immer noch dieselbe Fehlermeldung. Auch die Idee mit dem ändern des Design hat leider nicht gebracht. :???:

naja, das steht nicht eindeutig in deinem Beitrag. Aber egal.
Wie hast du denn compiz installiert? Hast du es mit der One-Klick Installationsmethode gemacht?
hier kannst du dir auch mal die manuelle Installation anschauen und evtl mal nachschauen, ob überhaupt alle Paktete installiert sind. Musst halt die Repos für deine aktuelle Version nehmen.
