Suse 12.2: WLAN nur nach kill switch

Hallo,

habe meinen Laptop von 11.x auf 12.2 erneuert. Wenn ich den Laptop boote sehe ich beim NetworkManager nur einen roten durchgestrichenen Kreis und ich habe kein Netzwerk. Wenn ich den Hardware Kill schalter auf off lege sehe ich dort ein rotes Kästchen mit weißen Kreuz. Danach kill schalter auf on und ich werde nach dem kwallet password gefragt und alles ist gut, sprich WLAN funktioniert wie es sollte.

collectNWdata sagt mir in dem Zustand wlan0 hätte keine IP, das dürfte wohl stimmen...

In Der Ausgabe steht auch wo man nachlesen kann wie man den "Fehler" behebt wenn man auf die Seite geht, also hier:

Danach ein

systemctl restart network.service

und einen Augenblick später sollte sich der NetworkManager, also das Miniprogramm melden, notfalls das Widget nochmal entfernen und neu hinzufügen.

Good catch

. Muss tatsaechlich egrep sein. Der zweite grep ist allerdings ueberfluessig und der Fehler hat auch keine Auswirkungen - ausser das u.U. eine auskommentierte Zeile mit persistent bzw networkmanger ausgegeben wird obwohl sie auskommentiert ist.
Ich werde das aendern.

Hallo,

also das mit yast und ifup-Methode hatte ich bei 11.x auch und das hat nichts gemacht. Aber gut sei es drum:

- In yast die Konfiguration entfernt
- Netzwerk Services gestartet
- applett entfernt
- miniprogramm in der Statusleiste wieder installiert
- Rechner rebootet

-> Immer noch das gleiche Problem.

Der Nameserver kommt von meiner Fritzbox dynamisch, dass dort nichts steht wenn kein Netz da ist ist okay, wenn ich Netz habe zeigt es auch was an. Wie gesagt nach dem kill Schalter geht ja alles.

Egal ob netzwerk über Kabel, oder WLAN funktionierend oder nicht funktionierend, ich bekomme immer:

nur wenn ich den Kill-Switch auf off schalte sehe ich hard blocked: yes. Würde also sagen alles so wie es sein sollte.

Ich habe genau das Selbe Problem:
KNetworkmanager verbindet sich nur dann automatisch, wenn der WLAN-Schalter kurz auf "aus" und wieder auf "ein" gestellt wird.

Was aber noch viel schlimmer ist:
Wenn für ein WLAN-Netzwerk eine Konfiguration erstellt wurde, taucht dessen SSID nicht mehr in der Liste der verfügbaren Netzwerke auf, wenn mit der linken Maustaste auf das Miniprogramm geklickt wird.

Bislang behelfe ich mir damit, dass ich das "automatische Verbinden" in der Konfiguration abgestellt habe.
Et voilà: Mein "Netzwerk" taucht beim linken Mausklick auf das Miniprogramm KNetworkmanager auf und ich kann mich damit verbinden.
Diese Vorgehensweise ist für mich einfacher als jedesmal den WLAN-Schalter zweimal zu betätigen.
Befriedigend ist es allerdings nicht.

Ich freue mich ebenfalls über Lösungsvorschläge.

auch wenn es nicht hilft.....
...bin ich froh das ich nicht immer in den neusten Zug einsteigen muss nur weil er im Bahnhof hält, ich springe lieber später auf den Zug.
Es ist immer wieder "schön" zu sehen wie voll die Foren werden wenn eine neue Version erscheint, da beginnt die 2. Betaphase

openSUSE 11.1 mit KDE 3.5.10 & Evergreen 11.1 & Firefox ESR etc.
KDE 3.5 - aber mit dem Look 'n' Feel des KDE 1.

Ich hatte bereits openSUSE 12.1 getestet, hatte dann aber aufgrund massiver Probleme mit Grafik und Netzwerk unter KDE 3.5 per "Partimage" openSUSE 11.1 wieder hergestellt.

Jetzt versuche ich gerade mich irgendwie mit KDE 4.9.1 anzufreunden...
Die ganze Zeit frage ich mich, was dieser ganze Quatsch eigentlich soll!
Dinge, die unter KDE 3.5 super waren, befinden sich in KDE 4.8.4 & KDE 4.9.1 entweder gar nicht oder nur im Beta- oder Alpha-Zustand.

Ich überlege ernsthaft, nach nunmehr 12 Jahren KDE evtl. auf Gnome umzusteigen. :???:

KDE 3.5 bzw. 4.1 bis 4.5 waren auf GTK2 aufgebaut und die neueren Versionen bauen nun auf GTK3 auf, da blieb es nicht anders übrig dies Ganze auf den GTK3 umzustellen.
Du kannst ja auch deine KDE 3.5.x Programme in KDE 4.9.1 installieren. ( Dürfte keine Probleme bereiten )
Allerdings sind da auch neue Sachen dazu gekommen....

Du hast GTK wohl mit QT verwechselt und die Versionen auch noch durcheinander gebracht.

KDE3 war QT3 und KDE4 ist nun QT4, ganz einfach.
Wobei bei Gnome auf GTK beruht, die Versionierung dort ist vergleichbar.

ja, KDE 3.5.10 habe ich jetzt mal nachinstalliert. Ich sehe mit dem KDE3-nm-applet nun auch mein Netzwerk, werde aber nach Passworteingabe nicht (überhaupt nicht!) verbunden.
Dann noch das Gleiche mit dem LXDE Windowmanager. Das "LXDE-nm-applet" basiert doch auf Gnome, oder?-Also nicht der LXNM. Da klappt's mit dem WLAN. Allerdings keine Automatische Verbindung! -> Womit wir also wieder ganz am Anfang der Klärung des Problems stehen.

Die automatische Verbindung mit dem WLAN funktioniert!

Damit ist für mich der Fall erledigt.
Es war richtig, das Monster KDE4 so viele Jahre links liegen zu lassen. Jetzt habe ich ihm endgültig den Rücken zugekehrt.
