Gelöst SUSE Leap 15.2 --> ohne 15.3 --> 15.4

Hallo

Ich möchte mein produktiv System demnächst auf SUSE Leap 15.4 aktualisieren, dabei die Version 15.3 überspringen.

Ich habe in einer Virtualbox eine 15.2 Version installiert.
Dann eine 15.4 Iso geladen und angefangen.....
Bin dann auf den Update gegangen usw.
Am Ende lief alles glatt durch.

Desweiter habe ich noch ein paar Repo`s hinzugefügt.
Das ist jetzt meine Frage....
Kann man das so machen oder sollte ich einen anderen Weg gehen?

Also, remember these important rules:

All important data must be backed up prior to beginning the upgrade process.
You must update your system with the latest updates for the release you are currently running before running zypper dup.
You must only zypper dup to the next release. Hopping over a release, e.g., going from 42.1 -> 15.1, is not supported.

Warning: Do not skip a release when upgrading! Example: do not upgrade from 15.1 to 15.3. Instead, from 15.1 upgrade to 15.2, and only then from 15.2 to upgrade to 15.3.

Und dann solltest Du noch bedenken, dass openSUSE Leap 15.4 zur Zeit noch kein offizieller Release ist.

Niemals eine Version überspringen bei Update von openSUSE Leap! Das Ergebnis ist nicht brauchbar. Das ist meine eigene Erfahrung. Wenn die Version übersprungen werden soll, hilft nur komplette Neuinstallation mit Putzen der boot- und root-Partitionen.
