SuSE Splashscreen

Ich finde den Bootsplashscreen beim Arbeiten etwas angenehmer als immer diese olle schwarze Konsole, aber leider ist der nur auf die erste Konsole beschränkt.

Gibt es da einen Hack, um diesen Splashscreen auf den anderen Konsolen auch erscheinen zu lassen?

Hat eigentlich schon mal jemand den Splashscreen nicht mit dem Vesa Framebuffer, sondern mit einem kartenspezifischen versucht? Geht das? Ich habe nämlich eine Matrox G400 und würde mir mal den matroxfb ansehen.

Hi,

ich weiß jetzt zwar nicht, wie das File mit dem Splashscreen heißt, aber das wirst Du schon rausfinden. Kannst ja hier posten.

Wenn Du es hast:

Konsole starten, "Einstellungen - Konsole einrichten", dann Reiter "Farbschema" und dort "Hintergrund", da kannst Du ein Bild angeben und wie es dargestellt wird.

ich glaub er meinte die richtige konsole! nicht die kde konsole

ich weiß leider nur wo man ihn ausschaltet (/etc/sysconfig/bootsplash)
und wo man ihn konfiguriert (/etc/bootsplash/themes/SuSE/config)

* attach pictures to an initrd.
* attach a jpg picture including the bootsplash config header to an initrd with:
splash -s -f \ /etc/bootsplash/themes/current/config/bootsplash-1024x768.cfg \ >> /boot/initrd
You can add several pictures like this, if you intend to boot your machine with several resolutions.


* use a new picture on the fly

* show a new bootsplash graphics on the fly on the first console by using
splash -s -u 0 \ /etc/bootsplash/themes/current/config/bootsplash-1024x768.cfg
any other console can be used by specifying -u [console number] where the console number starts at 0 (i.e. by default you have 0-5)
