Terratec Cynergy S2 PCI HD

Hallo zusammen,

ich würde gerne meine TV-Karte Terratec Cynergy S2 PCI HD unter opensuse 11.1 einrichten. Nach langer Recherche im Netz habe ich erfahren, dass man wohl den Mantis Treiber installieren muss. Ich bin absoluter Neuling in opensuse. Jetzt habe ich verschiedene Mantis Treiber heruntergeladen, aber ich kriege sie nicht installiert. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn mir jemand ein möglichst detaillierte Anleitung überlassen könnte, wie ich meine Cynergy S2 PCI HD zum Laufen kriege. Was muss ich tun, um den Mantis Treiber einzurichten. Wie geht das?

Ich habe zwei Mantis Treiber herunter geladen, die eine heißt *.patch und die andere *.tar.gz
Freue mich auf weitere Reaktionen.Danke sehr im voraus.

Im Moment sagt mir das nicht viel.
Da muss eine readme dabei sein.

Den Treiber habe ich von www.tomshardware.com, weiß aber leider nicht mehr den genauen Link. Ich kann aber gerne auch einen anderen Treiber downloaden und schmeiße diesen weg. Muss ich denn überhaupt einen Mantis-Treiber installieren, um meine TV Karte zum Laufen zu bringen. Leider ist weder bei dem einen noch beim anderen eine Readme dabei....

Danke sehr für den Link...zu linuxtv.org...Ich habe es sofort versucht, nun bekomme ich bei dem Befehl sudo apt-get install mercurial...die Antwort sudo apt-get... command not found...

apt-get ist auch für Debian gedacht. Bei einer Suse kommst du damit nicht weit.
Mercurial sollte sich aber ganz normal über yast installieren lassen.
Würde es dir etwas ausmachen, EINEN Punkt am Satzende zu setzen? Danke.

Sorry, wenn ich mich da unverständlich ausgedrückt habe.

Zunächst habe ich den mit dem von Euch empfohlenen Link http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Terra ... _PCI_HD_CI beschriebenen Eingabebefehlen versucht. Dabei bekam ich ja schon die Fehlermeldung, dass der Befehl apt-get nicht bekannt war. Command not found. Dann habe ich versucht den Befehl nach Anzeigen der --help Funktion anzupassen, indem ich schrieb sudo zypper. Aber auch hier bekam ich erneut die Meldung: command not found. Ebenfalls bekam ich die gleich Meldung beim Befehl sudo make und sudo make install, auch sudo reboot nach opensuse 11. 1 nicht an.

Dann folgte ich dem 2. Link http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ und habe da die Datei mercurial gedownloaded und installieren lassen. Ich habe den Rechner dann neu gestartet und das TV Fenster von Opensuse geöffnet. Dann habe ich versucht, ob ich über Yast dem Mercurial Treiber installieren kann. Aber auch da ist ein Mercurial Treiber nicht zu finden.

Ich hoffe, dass ich mich jetzt etwas verständlicher ausgedrückt habe.

Mercurial ist kein Treiber.
Das ist ein Versionsverwaltungsprogramm und ermöglicht es dir, den Treiber im Quellcode herunterzuladen.
Du musst also mit mercurial / hg den Kram 'auschecken' und dann mit make usw. bauen.
sudo würde ich unter Suse weglassen und mich eher direkt als 'root' in der Konsole anmelden. Geht mit
