Wie sieht's denn damit aus?! Ich hab auch die gleiche Karte und auf http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=25&CatID=2580&SubCatID=185 steht was von 3D Support... da ich aber nicht so Linuxerfahren bin hab ich keine Ahnung wie ich das ans laufen bekommen kann oder ob das überhaupt richtig ist!

This document describes how to compile the VIA Chrome9 HC family Linux display driver source code on Fedora Core Linux 5/6/7. This software package supports ACPI, 2D, 3D, TV-Out, V4L,hardware video mpeg and hardware video overlay. On Fedora Core Linux5/6/7 under CN896, VN896 and P4M900, it supports 3D. This source package also could be compiled under UniChrome (Pro) Family chips, but it only support ACPI, 2D, TV-Out, hardware video mpeg and hardware video overlay. Hier steht auf alle Fälle was von der Karte mit 3D Wenn ich die jetzt nicht verwechsle...

Wiso?! Kann man das nicht einfach kompilieren und dann benutzen oder nur unter Fedora oder etwa garnicht?!

Der Kram dürfte mit dem heutigen xorg nicht mehr funktionieren. Und auch schon damals hat das mehr schlecht als recht funktioniert.
Was hast du überhaupt für einen Chip?

Kannst aber gerne versuchen, den Kram zu kompilieren. Erfolgsstories lesen wir besonders gerne hier.

Hab den VN896 Und das was ich da GeQuotet hab ist vom 14 Januar (dieses Jahr ) Eigentlich ja noch nicht so alt...

also für den XORG40079a da ich aber leider keine Ahnung hab welche Version das ist ^^ ich schätze mal das die mit 4 anfing :roll: wirds wohl doch schon älter sein Tja VIA ist halt super mit Linux kompitabel und deshalb immer meine erste Wahl mein letzter PC hatte auch ne VIA Karte 0o jetzt gibts on billigschrott nichtmehr!
