Ich habe einige Probleme mit meiner W-Lan Verbindung. Die Verbindung bricht ab und OpenSuse wählt sich nicht neu ein, wenn die Verbindung weg ist hab ich nur noch eine Verbindung in Netzwerk aber keine mehr ins Internet. Bei Windows passiert das auch aber dann bezieht Windows eine neue Netzwerk Adresse und wählt sich neu ein. Ich benutze Opensuse 11.0 und die Onboard W-Lan Karte von meinem Mainboard Asus M2N32-Sli Wifi-Deluxe.
Ich habe die W-Lan Verbindung unter Yast2 eingerichtet und die Verbindung ist WPA-PSK verschlüsselt. Unter Modulname wird "rtl8187" angezeigt.

Bis jetzt bleibt mir nur ein Neustart von OpenSuse um wieder ins Internet zu kommen.
 
Was läuft denn hinter dem WLAN-Adapter? Ein Modem oder Router?

Ich habe mit meinem WiFi-Modul von Asus auch so meine Probleme. Habe es mit dem P5B Deluxe Wifi bekommen.

Mit WPA lief es so lala und brach nur bei hohen Übertragungslasten (Datentransfer von PC zu PC) ab (10.3 mit Zusatz-Repos für Treiber bis 11.0 mit Originaltreiber 2.6.25). Ein Reconnect mußte ich dann oft mit einem Neuladen des rtl8187-Moduls erreichen, manchmal sogar zusätzlich das Netzwerk komplett neu starten.

Jetzt mit WPA2 habe ich ein völlig verrücktes Problem, daß ein Disconnect auf dem Softwarelayer stattfindet (oft nach 1-2 Min., manchmal erst nach mehreren Stunden), aber der KWiFi-Manager von KDE3 trotzdem noch ein Signal anzeigt, bis nach einiger Zeit der Inaktivität der rtl8187 abschaltet. Ich doktere da schon einige Zeit mit herum und nun habe ich vorgestern einen Bugreport bei Bugzilla gefunden, der das gleiche Verhalten für den rtl8187 beschreibt. Dieser Bugzilla-Eintrag wurde für openSUSE 11.0 angelegt und auch schon durch Kommentare für 11.1 gemeldet. Bisher keinerlei Ergebnisse wo das Ganze herkommt.

Ganz verrückt wird es, wenn ich dann noch beschreibe, daß ich gestern dann endlich eine Methode gefunden habe, wie ich diese Abbrüche definitiv 100%ig reproduzieren kann: Sobald ich im BOINC 6.23 einen Dateitransfer (Upload von fertigen SETI-Ergebnissen) anwerfe, bricht sofort der Kontakt zum AccessPoint ab, obwohl das Signal weiter im KWifi-Manager ausgewiesen wird. Wenn ich BOINC deaktiviere und nicht nutze, läuft es bisher für Stunden.

Anderes Phänomen, was ich oft beobachte, daß die "Quality" im Output des "iwlist wlan0 list" oft 0/64 anzeigt, obwohl im "iwconfig wlan0" dort immer Werte > 40/64 angezeigt werden.

Ich muß mal sehen, daß ich mich bei Novell anmelde, damit ich meine Ergebnisse dann an diesen Bugreport klemmen kann. Vielleicht erbarmt sich dann ja jemand...
 
Kwifi zeigt mir auch immer eine Verbindung an. Wie kann man denn das Modul neu laden? Es ist sicher schneller als immer einen Neustart zu machen.
Das W-Lan kommt von einen Modem Speedport W 700V.
 
Das Neuladen kannste einfach als root über
Code: 
 rmmod rtl8187 ; modprobe -v rtl8187
erreichen.

Den Neustart des Netzwerks kannst du über
Code: 
rcnetwork restart
erreichen, auch als root.

Da bei mir das BOINC per rcboinc gleich beim Systemstart mitaktiviert wird und damit die Uploads starten, ist auch sofort eine Terminierung der WLAN-Verbindung die Konsequenz. Der Wechsel von WPA auf WPA2 fiel zufällig mit dem Wechsel auf BOINC 6.3.21 (http://www.rechenaugust.de/boinc/) zusammen. Dem alte BOINC-Client (5.4.irgendwas) fehlten wohl ein paar Libraries nach dem Update per diverser openSUSE-Repositories.
 
Ich habe den Threat mal wieder ausgegraben, weil mein Problem immer noch aktuell ist, und sich nichts geändert hat in der Zeit.

Es hat mich früher nicht so gestört wenn ich alle 2h mal das Modul neu laden musste oder sogar das Netzwerk neu starten, aber wenn ich jetzt HoN spielen will ist ein Verbindungsabbruch eher nicht so schön. Und die Verbindung bricht jetzt öfter den je ab (alle 3 bis 4 Minuten muss ich das Modul UND das Netzwerk neu starten damit ich ins Internet komme).
Und die Zeit bis die Verbindung wieder steht dauert viel zu lange sodass ich dann immer aus dem Spiel fliege.

Am Betriebssystem habe ich nichts verändert OpenSUSE 11.0 mit KDE 3.5.10 (will das System nicht upgraden, da ich noch nicht auf KDE 4 umsteigen will).
