WinTV-Nova HD-S2 Installation

Hallo,
Ich bin in Linux noch relativ unerfahren und wechsel gerade von XP so nach und nach
nach SuSE Linux (dual boot System).
Installiert ist bei mir SuSE 11.3 (x86_64).
Kernel: 2.6.34.7-0.4-desktop
KDE: 4.4.4 r3
Grafik ist eine ATI Karte mit zwei Monitoren ohne spezielle ATI Treiber (out of the box).
Virtualbox mit XP als Gast habe ich zum Laufen gebracht.
Nun möchte ich auch wieder Fernsehen können.

Unter XP hatte ich zuvor die Hauppauge Karte Nova HD-S2 mit HD am laufen.
Ich hab versucht sie unter Linux einzubinden, aber keinen Erfolg gehabt.
Erkannt wird die Karte anscheinend (HVR 4000 lite)
Irgendwo hatte ich gelesen, dass die Karte nur eine Firmware benötigt...
Daraufhin habe ich die Datei dvb-cx24116.fw habe ich ins Verzeichnis
/lib/firmware kopiert, aber das scheint nicht zu funktionieren.
Muss man die Software von linuxtv.org kompilieren oder nicht?
Welche Schritte und welche Software sind nötig ?
Viele Fragen mit für mich zu vielen Antworten im Netz
Daher bitte ich um Unterstützung wie diese Karte zum Funktionieren gebracht werden kann.

Ich hoffe, dass ich das jetzt richtig gemacht habe, denn es ist das erste mal...
Wenn ich das richtig deute, ist die Firmware schon eingebunden.
Bei den Paketen bin ich allerdings überfragt.

Hi,

ich habe die gleiche TV-Karte am laufen ... allerdings unter Ubuntu ...

Nach meiner Beobachtung wird die Firmware erst bei Start einer TV Anwendung ( Kaffeine oder vdr ) versucht zu laden.
Erst dann tauchen bei mir auch entsprechende Meldungen mit dmesg auf ... entsprechend auch Fehlermeldungen ...

Unter Ubuntu heißt die Firmware aber /lib/firmware/dvb-fe-cx24116.fw

Entsprechend auch die Meldung von dmesg:

Hi
Ich brauchte , um mit Kaffeine überhaupt DVB-T und DVB-S und DVB-C schauen zu können :
Die V4L Tools , die DVB Tools , Libdvbpsi-devel und DVB Tunes (waren alle auf meiner gekauften SUSE DVD drauf.

Grundvoraussetzung , bei mir , ist immer das ich eine DVD anschauen kann , dann weiß ich , das auch alle benötigten Codec's vorhanden sind.
W32 Codec all und FFMPEG

Meine SKYSTAR 2 läuft gleich so (DVB-S)
Mein MSI MINI FOX II USB braucht die Firmware im Ordner (DVB-T)
Nur bei meiner CABELSTAR HD2 muß ich den Kernel kompilieren (DVB-C) aber dann läufts gut , auch HD technisch mit den ÖR.
