Wlan intel 2200BG installation - ich brauche Hilfe

Hallo,

ich bin Linux Neuling und versuche von Windows nach Linux zu wechseln. Leider habe ich bei der installation/konfiguration meiner WLAN Karte (intern) probleme.
Ich habe Linux auf meinem Acer Notebook laufen mi folgendem integriertem Wlan:
Wireless LAN Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 BG, 802.11b/g, bis zu 54 MBit/s

Dazu habe ich mir folge Dateien runtergeladen, da ich hier gelesen habe das ich das integrieren muss.:

Mein Problem ist nun das ich nicht weiss was ich damit anfangen soll.
Entpacken kann ich die Archive
Bei jedem weiteren Schritt bin ich überfordert. Und ich kann den englischen Text nicht lesen, der bei vielen Quellen im Internet zu finden ist.

Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen, und eine kleine Anleitung posten, wie ich das hinbekomme, ohne aussreichend Kenntnisse in Linux zu haben.

Das habe ich herausgefunden. Eine integrierte Netwerkkarte hat das Notebook auch. acuh darüber funktionierte keine Verbindung leigt dan wohl auch daran das die wohl nicht richtig erkannt wird, oder?
Aber wenn das WLAN funktioniert, dann bin ich erst mal zufrieden. und super glücklich.

Ich suche auch noch eine PCMCIA WLAN karte die unter Linux automatisch unterstütz wird. ich habe mir sagen lassen das ich eine mit orinocco Chipsatz nehmen soll. Habt ihr dazu ein paar Vorschläge welche ich da nehmen könnte?

Warum installierst du nicht die ipw2200 firmware von der AddOn-CD 6?
http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1/non-oss-inst-source/suse/noarch/

oder gleich als Quelle angeben, dann allerdings:

und wenn möglich auf einem der opensuse mirror.

und dann suchst du hier im Forum nach ipw2200 ....

Steht hier im Forum als fertiges Howto, wenn du selbst kompilieren möchtest. Ansonsten wie von oc2pus erwähnt die mitgelieferte Software von SuSE Linux 10.1 verwenden.
