[gelöst] Hilfe bei Logauswertung

Hallo,
ich habe einen kleinen fileserver mit samba. Suse 11.2 - läuft schon seit Jahren im lan immer stabil. Ich habe heute früh festgestellt, dass er laute Geräusche macht und ich nicht auf die Dateien Zugreifen konnte. Allerdings kann ich immer mit putty rein. Ich habe also die /var/log/messages ausgelesen und siehe da, mir fällt die Temperatur der Laufwerke auf - kann es sein, daß das wirklich diese unglaubliche Zahl erreicht? Oder wurde ich angegriffen und das System wurde dazu verleitet die Temperatur zu steigen? Ich sehe, dass jemand versuchte mit ftp Verbindung aufzunehmen, die IP stammt aus Japan.

Da hat jemand versucht per ftp reinzukommen - es ist ihm aber nicht gelungen. Es wurde auch nicht gross versucht reinzukommen. Sieht mir eher so aus als hätte da jemand eine falsch IP eingegeben ... Allerdings solltest Du trotzdem herausfinden, wieso da jemand so einfach aus dem Internet auf Deinen lokalen LAN Server kommen konnte :???:

viele der SMART Attribute musst du dir vorstellen wie ein Punktekonto. Am Anfang sind 255 da. jedes mal wenn die Platte intern diesbezüglich Auffälligkeiten feststellt werden ein paar Punkte abgezogen. irgend wann wird dann nach unten eine festgelegte Schwelle unterschritten (zB 100)
Das soll ein Warnindikator sein für einen eventuellen zukünftigen Ausfall, einige Attribute sind so definiert das sie beim überschreiten dieser Grenze dann einen SMART-Fehler setzen.

Das ganze ist jedoch sehr Herstellerspezifisch und auch Plattentype spezifisch oftmals auch noch Firmware abhängig, dort macht jeder Hersteller mehr oder weniger was er will, eine wirklichen belastbaren einheitlichen Standard gibt es dort wohl weniger. Und eine Platte kann durchaus auch noch ein paar Jahre laufen obwohl sie bei irgend einem nebensächlichen Attribut schon lange keine Punkte mehr hat, und kann auch ausfallen obwohl sie fast überall volle Punktzahl hat.

Wenn die Platte aber schon anfängt zu klappern und zu pfeifen, würde ich mir darüber keine große Gedanken machen und schnellstens Ersatz besorgen und wechseln, Lager kaputt oder trocken und Reibung erzeugt nun mal Wärme, aber trotzdem erstmal prüfen, nicht das es blos ein Lüfter ist der komische Geräusche macht, das würde auch eine höhere Temperatur im Rechner erklären können.

Scheint ein paar umverteilte Sektoren zu haben. Ist eine 10 noch vertretbar?
 
Die ist so ca. vom 2009.

Ich habe noch ein Problem. Ich kann jetzt auf keine der über SMB freigegebenen Dateien zugreifen. Ich kann sie zwar sehen, aber nicht öffnen. Es kommt bei Windows XP immer eine Fehlermeldung "Der Verzeichnisname ist ungültig". Auch wenn ich eine Datei anklicke. Kann das als Folge der Probleme sein? die samba logs (log.smbd & log.nmbd) zeigen keine Fehler diesbezüglich an. Auch in /var/log/messages ist nix. Die /etc/smb.conf sowie /etc/group Dateien sind seit einem Jahr unverändert. Zumindest wird keine Modifizierung gelistet.

Eventuell hat beides nicht miteinander zu tun - auch wenn der gleiche Zeitpunkt des Auftretens es unwahrscheinlich macht. Ich habe noch ein Thread erstellt.

und doch noch Fehlermeldungen gefunden - siehe im anderen Thread nach.
 
Das Problem wurde gelöst - siehe link im vorletzten Post. Es war kein Hitzeproblem, das Verzeichnis "/.cache" war vollgelaufen und somit hatte der Server keinen physikalischen Festplattenspeicher mehr.
