wieso sollte Suse das Gerät nicht erkennen bzw. muss es das denn überhaupt?
Es wird doch genauso wie ein nirmaler Router mit dem Rechner verbunden (via LAN oder WLAN).

WLAN bekomme ich nicht hin
SSID gleicher Name, Verschlüsselung gleich, Verschlüsselungscode der, den mir von Netzwerkeinstellung gegeben wird
muss Drahtlos eigentlich sichtbar sein, damit es sich verbindet, oder ist unsichtbar auch ok?
Mit Netzwerkmanager habe ich es auch nicht geschafft

Ich habe Speedport auf Macadresse "positiv" gestellt, Adresse des Laptop eingetragen.

Sinnvoll wäre es, wenn du nur ein Werkzeug zur Konfiguration zur Einstellung des Netzwerks benutzt, entweder YaST, oder den NetworkManager (zur Zeit wird beides verwendet). Nach der Scriptausgabe
funftioniert die Verbindung zu deinem AP einwandfrei.
Versuche die Kabelverbindung zu trennen und mach Neustart .
Nach dem Neustart öffne eine Konsole und als root tippe
Wenn jetzt neben ESSID: Name von deinem AP steht dann ist alles OK.
Falls immer noch die Internetverbindung fehlt dann wechsle im Yast zu Netzwerkmanager.

Ja nach ESSIT steht der Name des Laptops. Ist ein Dell Inspiron 1720, der hat auch noch einen mechanischen WLAN-Scanner am seitlichen Gehäuse.
und eine dazugehörende Kontrollleuchte, und die leuchtet auch. Stelle ich diesen Schalter aber auf WLAN-Dauertbetrieb, dann geht die Kontrollleuchte aus.
Ich versuch mal den anderen Weg mit Networkmanager.
